Notice What would you grade the season in retrospect?

At the all star break we were 6 games over .500 which put us in the playoffs at that stage. Not sure how you can figure that as an f. That gtradd would be for teams like Atlanta, Phoenix, Memphis etc.

A C for being inconstient... They werent great even if 6 games over .500.

We all have various opinions, but you don't flunk when you are in the upper portion of class and majority are below you which was my point in the other post.

I get all the school analogies, and it kind of works. But really, the only one that truly works is that you procrastinated as fuck and then bombed the mess out of the final, barely passing.

Like I mentioned above, we all have various opinions and we can agree to disagree. What grade would you give Denver? They finished below us, weren't invited to the next level so it should be a worst grade and why I disagreed with the person that said the season was an F.

I think the grading by most is also based on the expectations they had going into the season. Teams below us more than likely didn't have as high of expectations so thus they wouldn't grade themselves worse than us.

Id say though that Minni probably gave themselves a worse grade than us. I think they had thoughts of being a top 3 in the West.

San antonio- D with an asterisk because of kawhi

Denver - C. i think they are about where they should be based on thier roster.

Minni - C-. If butler doesnt go down, i think they finish ahead of us and continue to gel and know roles and improve going into the playoffs.

OKC - C. Never expected much. Too top heavy of a roster with an extremely innefient player as thier number 1.

lol, don't you know that we were the only team that played other teams with injured players during the season. I give the season a solid B even though the playoffs were disappointing. We were in a slump and Pelicans were hot at the time. Another factor nobody mentions is going into the playoffs our best player just had his first baby (a son at that) as well as having his brother shot at Clackamas Town Center. Nobody knows what his mindset was like going into the playoffs and could have lead to his struggles.

This off-season will probably be just as bad as the season. C or D coming up this summer then another bad season before changes are made.

If you think he played bad because he's overrated, fine. But there's a few people that are giving excuses for everything that went wrong, when our best player is a "no-excuse" type. We were down 15 points in 3 out of 4 games. And getting swept means you weren't competitive in the series as a whole. Yeah, maybe in a game here or there, things were close. But in terms of the playoff series, we were very noncompetitive.

I think Minni and Denver would probably give themselves worse grades than us but also be able to say hey we lost one of our best players for a large part of the season, (millsap and JimmyB), Lillard misses a few games and maybe needed to miss more to let his ankles heal up.
I think Utah, LAC, New Orleans would give themselves better grades. I think if you asked a clipper fan (if you can find one) how they would do without CP3 and Blake griffin and they would probably guess they should’ve had a lot more ping pong balls.

He said if you break it down into 4 seperate games and lose each game by 3 points which is a close game, the final score is by 12 but you were competitive in all quarters and within reach in all 4. In the NBA and 3 point shooting capabilities leads evaporate quickly and why we have seen 25 point leads turnaround and end up being 12 point losses.

This is all feelings (and I recognize that), but it felt like the Blazers best players never found their rhythm. The Pelicans beat them up, they wanted it more, like the Blazers got hit in the mouth never adjusted, and just kept getting hit in the mouth. They had their chances, and never answered the call. Close games in score, but seemed demoralizing. With as bad as the Blazers "best 3 players" played, it was actually somewhat incredible they did make those games close.
So I guess I get what you're saying, but this series seemed like a really bad dream.

I think this post, imo, is direct and to the point.

Everybody has something going on in their lives. We all have our ups and downs. Dame strikes me as a very private and professional guy. I like that about him!

In this case it depends what the goal was, it was very obvious a lot of teams were tanking for the draft even in early in the season. Phoenix might give themselves a B, because they got the #1 pick.

Those are s2 grades, I gave the Blazers a B, mostly for improved defense, which I find to be more important than some.
