Oregon ranks 9th highest in the country for rent prices, study says

How can we get away with high rent if the city is such a shit hole? Somebody please explain.

Its not just the cost of high housing in Oregon but also the percentage of income to acquire one is I think is in the top two, Nation wide.
We know people that have relocated because they want to be able to acquire a home at a more affordable price.

Because Californians with more money are moving here from bigger $hit holes.
So it’s not THAT bad then? If they can get away with such high rent, it must be a desirable place to live? Just asking.

So that’s a good thing?

Well, anything is more desirable than Cali, brah!
Shit there are a few places I would consider moving to and as much as I love the PNW thats saying a lot. There’s a couple little sleepy towns south of SF we found on my daughters college visits that were amazing. Also, my aunt lives in Imperial Beach way down south….not a bad vibe down there either.

So that’s a good thing?
The median home price in Yuma for the week end on January 20th 2023 was $126,400compared to $862, the median rent.
Median home price in Portland is above 500.
