Sad how bad Chinatown has gotten in Portland. Used to enjoy Sunday brunch/dim sum there after church growing up every weekend.

China town has always been a dump man. Growing up it was buys central. It’s no worse now.

It was way better back in the day. That building where Laundry is now had a cool restaurant, Fong Chong and House of Louie were staples growing up. They had little asian stores around. Its horrible now, tents and zombies everywhere.

Nah, House of Louie was across the street. It was street level and then went underground I believe.

This place was street level and the spot above...may have been two separate restaurants. Or upstairs was a banquet hall.

If the City elects not to crack down on crime where needed it will just get worse. There has to be a consequence if you commit crimes. Pretty basic stuff really.

To a degree I think but not really sure?
Not real optimistic that peace patrols by citizens work.

Having any type of untrained civilian making decisions if illegal activity is involved can lead to some very bad outcomes. ALOT worse than you are seeing with officers I can promise you,.

I agree, no reason we can't have better trained and increase police force. Its a matter of priorities with politicians.
