Suspect accused of biting off man's ear, chewing face in Gresham thought victim was robot

PORTLAND, Ore. — A 25-year-old who allegedly bit and chewed off part of another man’s ear and face in Gresham early Tuesday morning told police he thought the victim was "a robot" because of "how he smelled."

Koryn Daniel Kraemer, 25, has been charged with second-degree assault. He admitted to consuming fentanyl pills, alcohol, and marijuana before the attack, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said.

Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday to a 911 call reporting an attack with "a lot of blood" at the Cleveland TriMet Station MAX platform off Northeast 8th Street in Gresham.

Officers arrived to find Kraemer still on top of the victim, identified as a 78-year-old man from Hillsboro, "gnawing on the side of [his] face."

I tell ya what... I thought Minneapolis had gotten bad....downtown Indy is a mess. Right here in the heart of downtown by out hotel, I'd say half the restaurants and shops are boarded up. Starbucks, Panera, Cheesecake Factory. And homeless everywhere. It wasn't this bad just last time we were here. I was able to get out and get some Steak and Shake as did Dame!

Midwest is creepy as fuck.

Indiana definitely IS creepy as fuck. Not a particularly friendly state in my opinion, nor do they seem all that well informed about the rest of America. Went to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in Newcastle. $5 admission but the old lady running the place was literally indignant (and rude AF) because I wasn't an AARP member, which would have saved me a whole buck. Like it ruined her whole day. Kinda typical of most Hoosiers I met. Ohio is pretty shaky too but both Columbus and Cleveland were genuinely great places to spend some time. I kept hearing the "Midwest Nice" load of hype, but you had to go to the bigger cities to find it. And I too completely bypassed Indianapolis. Just didn't seem to be any "there" there.......
