I like Whole Foods. The best one is not the one in downtown Lake Oswego across from the Lake theater in the shopping center where I bought my first bicycle when I was ten nor is it in Tualatin. I like the one near Burnside in NW Portland. I hate paying for stuff, even food, and getting crap. Sure, I pay more at Whole Foods but I don't get ripped off and that goes a long way with me. Buy some pastry at Safeway.Whole Foods? are you kidding me?
My wife and I went through the one in Oswego and they were so high priced I said lets get the hell out of here.
Trader Joes and New Seasons are expensive too but nothing like I saw at Whorefoods.
Everybody likes a little ass but nobody likes a smart ass.
It is nice soap. I seem to recall that it had a peppermint smell and a menthol like soothing effect.DR BRONNER CAMPED ON MY LAND ONCE! I HAVE A LIFETIME SUPPLY OF SOAP NOW
There are about 750,000 residents in the city and about 2 1/4 Million residents in the metropolitan area. I wouldn't judge the mayor on the feelings of 200 people. I'd judge him at the ballot box.Why is it that over 200 protesters showed up at Wheeler's residence last evening demanding his resignation? Probably because he's an abject failure at doing his job.

There are no indications that he won't except fot those 200 disgruntled protestors. I'm sure every mayor, even the most popular ones, have some disgruntled voters.OK.....if he makes it that far.
who needs a judicial system any more?
Good. Let Ted Wheeler manage that and someone else handle the rest of the city.
Because I'm NOT in this thread to talk about Trump! Please quit trying to bring him into EVERY SINGLE DISCUSSION!
Excuse me, I did invoke Trump's name earlier only because Wheeler is trying to blame Trump for his own woes. What's going on in Portland is on WHEELER!
Quick, how many times did Wheeler use the term, accountable...and, really, what does it mean?

Portland needs a new sheriff in town....
I read only 2 pages, but I see that you often simply repeat Trump's talking points. Wheeler isn't the issue from Portland's point of view, just from Trump's.
Wheeler (and Brown) are certainly the issue from the point of view of the Clackamas and Washington County police departments, which have summarily defied the Governor's suggestion that they lend their assistance. They basically said that the elected officials have created an environment where police aren't supported and criminals aren't prosecuted, so there's no way they're sending their officers into that tempest. I can't blame them.Wheeler isn't the issue from Portland's point of view, just from Trump's.
There's that confirmation bias rearing it's ugly head again.
Divide and conquer. The Federal government funds a division among demonstrators. They always try that. For example, they created the Blackstone Rangers to harrass the Black Panthers.

OK, so you support Ted Wheeler as Mayor or Portland.
Most voters here do. You shouldn't get your news from Trump 2000 miles away. Check out who won the mayoral election instead.
The 200 demonstrators at his home want a new Mayor to his left, not right as Fox pretends. They want him to control the police more, not them.
It's a typical intelligence agency tactic, hoping to run multiple candidates to splinter the left, then win with only one candidate on the unified right.
No argument there. Given the political makeup of the city of Portland, anyone who can get elected here will be Like Wheeler or farther left.Wheeler isn't the issue among Democrats, the big majority. Republican smokescreen. Any replacement of Wheeler will be similar.
So what if I cite links that show clear opposition to Ted Wheeler? Please explain this confirmation bias thingy to me in this context. New links, polls, petitions show up all the time. So what?
I mean, even this recent local Portland article appears to be addressing this issue. Meanwhile, I've been maintaining all along that Ted Wheeler is an abject failure as Mayor of Portland, OR. Strong words? Sure. But there is supporting information out there to at least make it a compelling accusation.

You post things that only back up what you're saying. That's the literal definition of confirmation bias.
There was a recall effort (again) for Kate Brown. I guess that means everyone is against Kate Brown (despite it failing to get enough signatures for the 5th time). Just because there are people who are calling for someones resignation, or trying to recall them, doesn't mean the majority are of the same mindset.
As someone said earlier, no matter who is elected mayor of Portland (it will almost surely be a D leaning person because Portland is a D leaning city), there will always be loud complainers who complain about that person. And among that small group, will be a weirdly loud and large group of people who don't even live in the area and can't actually pinpoint reasons why they feel that way, just that they feel that way.
oh sure, they'll bring up that their family lives there, but still when pressed for concrete examples of what they don't like about the leadership (or lack of) from the mayor, they come up with some snarky response or some generic terms that sound important.
And before you go "the moveon.org page shows my feelings, yes sir!", I don't recall you actually saying any of those things. You just say "he's an abject failure! see? told you, he's a abject failure!"
I did a lot of things I didn’t want to do over the course of my career. But as long as they weren’t illegal or unethical, I did what I was directed to do. That’s why they gave me a paycheck. And it’s not the public’s fault (at least specifically) if law enforcement in general has a crappy reputation. That is on law enforcement, built up over decades and grounded in legitimacy, and it’s up to law enforcement to change that perception in positive ways. Maybe those county crybabies should take a proactive approach rather than a Trump like “Nobody likes me” attitude. These guys are part of the problem but are making it clear they do not want to be part of the solution. And this is why as soon as the smoke clears we’re going to go back to dealing with the same old problems......Wheeler (and Brown) are certainly the issue from the point of view of the Clackamas and Washington County police departments, which have summarily defied the Governor's suggestion that they lend their assistance.
