This is 2020. You really think because I live in Nashville I can't understand what is going on out there? Portland is becoming the laughingstock of the nation as it pertains to civil unrest, etc. Shameful. And Wheeler could've taken a stand a LONG time ago!

That all said, are seeing any good coming out of all of this?

That’s like saying that because we don’t live in Nashville we can’t understand what’s going on there. From here the place looks like a redneck, racist, uneducated backwoods miasma.....And pretty much always has (despite the music scene). I’ve spent time in Nashville. Nice place......but the residents have a whole different take on America than we do out here. And please don’t tell me any different. Methinks you’re getting sucked into the “hold back the future” groupthink that seems to predominate in that part of the country. Portland is just now joining the Bubba states as a “laughingstock”....

You aren't in the city, you aren't walking in the city, you aren't driving through the city. you aren't experiencing FIRST HAND what is happening. So yes, I think you living in Nashville means you can't understand what is actually going on in Portland. NO more than I can understand what is happening in Flint Mich, because the portrayal is not what is actually happening.

Why is it that over 200 protesters showed up at Wheeler's residence last evening demanding his resignation? Probably because he's an abject failure at doing his job.

I speak of the violence and destruction as a whole. I'm not putting specific labels on those involved other than point blame at someone who could really stop it...if they set their mind to it.

Protesting a courthouse.... terrible people, lock them up.

Protesting mayor's house... very wonderful and credible people.

Again, it's mayhem out there and Wheeler stands out as the highly probable reason. We're people spitting on him, as well, when he jumped in and joined the protests awhile back?

Anyone who still supports this guy....

Well.....I'll refrain as not to turn that horse into mincemeat.

Well there is SOME reason why they aren’t, obviously. I could be wrong but it looks more like an F-U to Brown and Wheeler than to the cops in Portland. Making them lay in the beds they made. Can’t say I’d like to see any more harm done in Portland but I think I understand their logic, even if I don’t necessarily agree with it completely.

Police are public servants....politics are not part of the job description....most cops don't like lawyers and politicians where they work...that does not excuse them from being public servants.

Whole Foods? are you kidding me?
My wife and I went through the one in Oswego and they were so high priced I said lets get the hell out of here.
Trader Joes and New Seasons are expensive too but nothing like I saw at Whorefoods.
