wrong kind of stones. I'm talking the kind you piss out your dick.I was born with mine, but I’m glad the caffeine helped you out.
Cocoa and Chocolate milk are extremely high in Oxalate which stones are made of.
Im sitting here with my list of whats high, moderate and low the only caffeine drink is instant tea.
I drink way too much coffee, and have drank more since my last kidney stone by far. Big key is water, water, water. And avoiding stupid sugary drinks like sodas. But water. I drink at least a gallon a day, and haven't had one in probably 15 years? First one I was 18 years old. Shit sucks! 3 more after that.I dont drink coffee. Caffeine gave me stones baby!

2 years to pass it? Damn. Like I said, I had 4, first 3 I passed, last one had to have surgery. Miserable. Lithotripsy to go up and blast the stone to break it up smaller so it will actually pass from kidney. Then what was basically a small piano wire hanging out for 2 weeks or so.

yeah that's miserable. I'm 68 but lucky so far and haven't had one. My brother has had 3; two he passed although he said the said the 2nd one was extremely painful to pass. He had the litho-thingy surgery for the 3rd. That was about 4 years ago and he's still complaining about that procedure and the recovery...says he'll shoot himself if he gets another stone.
My first felt like I got stabbed in the back. And then was routinely getting stabbed in the back. It was excruciating pain, worse than anything I've ever felt, and hope to ever feel. The sharpest of sharp pains on the lower right side of the back. Didn't go away until the morphine kicked in. It's because I was actually in the process of passing it from the kidney to the bladder, which is the worst part. The others, I sensed the initial hit of that pain, and hightailed it to the ER.
Not Antifa, the Oregon Historical Society. Antifa is not organized enough to have a president or any officers.Didn't know antifa had a president.

I passed four of the little monsters from hell. The first hurt so bad that I made my wife pull over on the side of the road on our way to the emergency room so I could puke. The next three I passed all by myself and passed all four with no pain killer. Perhaps the worst pain I've ever undergone and I've endured some real pain several times in my life. Dear Lord, I hope I don't go out with pain like that.this is TMI, but you now the area where your leg and um, friendly bits meet?
It always felt like someone was running a hot poker right there to me. At the time I had mine, my insurances idea of offering help was "here, take some codine" (which didn't work) and once that was over "take some Advil"...and it will pass in '2 weeks usually'.
For me, it initially started with pissing cranberry juice, and thinking I had bruised my back badly (I had a bad fall the day before...my theory is I dislodged it).
Then I had what felt like a horrific stomach flu one day went to the urgency and found out. Basically missed a week+ of work. Whenever the pain would come on, it would come on like a wave shooting up from my waste up to my lungs. Almost like someone was just filling up a cup of water, and you can see the water moving up the glass...that's what it seemed like. It would just come up on my real quick, and at random times, and I would go from being a functional person of society to being in so much pain that I could barely walk. There were a few times when I thought "please shoot me".
Luckily for me, it would usually only last a day. But I did have an issue on a plane once. That was a miserable 15 hour flight. That was mostly caused by my own stupidity though. I needed to hydrate more...lesson learned. Now if I ever have that feeling, I chug some water and it subsides.
That's how I know I will eventually have another one. :/
I do have a simple test to tell though. I inhale deeply, hold my breath, and if my lower/mid back hurts (kidneys are located next to the lungs), I know I'm fucked. if not, I know it's mostly just my old back injury (or in my head).
This part of your post sounds like a storyline of a sci-fi movie in space.and they went up through her urethra and ureters and zapped them with a laser to break them up.
I’ve never had kidney stones and hope I never will. My daughter-in-law had stones last month and they went up through her urethra and ureters and zapped them with a laser to break them up. I’d never heard of that before, but it worked well for her.
