Of the things you mentioned needing improvement( i dont disagree( how would you go about doing so without increased spending?

I'd increase spending. It isn't possible to do without increased spending.

you are the one asserting the answers are there. Where? Lol.

okay if toy calculate it on top of my salary i suppose, but i wasnt provided the option, 90k a year with coverage or 100k a year without.
I was offered a salary. I accepted it. It came with coverage.
It's part of your compensation regardless of your choice. So if you took the insurance option you're spending $10k per year on insurance. You're might be spending up to twice that and getting a 50% tax credit. But with Medicare For All you'd be covered with no out of pocket expenses, which is almost certainly better than your current coverage.

You asked for numbers and I provided them. It's a lot of freaking numbers... but it's been studied and proven over and over by every country that has done it. Single payer and universal healthcare is just better in pretty much every way.

Okay but lets take the southern border. We have increase spending a couple times with little to no improvement ( not speaking of the wall) dc school district. Etc.
Im pretty sure if i investigated we would find many areas where increased spending did little to improve a situation.

Perhaps, but it could absolutely be dove-tailed in with other methods short of a one-size-fits-all approach.
The "one size fits all approach" is the most flexible, which allows each individual to seek exactly the care that they and their doctor deem they need. There is no other approach which allows that much freedom to so many people.

There is no downside. You have more options, more clinics and more doctors available for every medically necessary procedure. At no additional cost.

You're probably right, but I remember the debit card I had allowed me to purchase all kinds of medical-related items from the store---pre-taxed.

Okay, I already replied to this point the first time you made it.

You did? I asked what happens when we spend and don't see improvement that rationalizes the expenditures?

You brought up the point about DC's school system not seeing improvement despite getting a lot of money earlier and I responded to that.

The more general point is that solutions to things not being good enough generally always involve resources at some point in the process. If the current way money is being spent is not working, then you need to reconsider your plan and try to find alternative ways to use that money that may be more effective.

Exactly. Like I’m spending all of my money living in PDX and getting assailed by a bunch of libtards wanting to reprogram me into PC compliance with their demented views on every silly thing imaginable. I should move to Hawaii and spend my money more effectively making myself happy soaking up rays on the beach. Screw y’all.

Now this i agree with 100% and should be the first attempt before increasing spending.

I see some black in that green though. Lol.

I don't understand. Are you saying that being reprogrammed to be more compliant with demented liberal views isn't working for you?

What does any of this have to do with Portland?

It's not a complaint but man does OB know how to trash a thread topic, lol.

Yep, that's a good point. And I don't think there is anything in medicare For All that would prevent that exact same debit card.

I don't think a huge medical overhaul. But, I think of just people going in for a checkup they might not otherwise go in for and being told hey, you have high blood pressure, lets'work to fix that. And the checkup, finding the high blood pressure, and making changes can go a long ways towards not having that person have the medical bills in a few months from a heart attack.
Go to any fire station or drug store. At the fire station you can get a free manual bp test and all the drug stores I go to have bp machines to test you bp.

Sorry, what does this have to do with the what-now?

I'm not familiar with this place you mentioned.

Hey, johnnyboy, will Liz Cheney survive? What's your sense about how Wyoming feels about Liz?

Most don’t like her. She went against the vast majority of voters out here with the Trump impeachment thing so most think she should just stay in Washington where she’s a better fit with the establishment. I don’t see her holding any offices here in the future. Or any other Cheneys for that matter. They’ve only ever been here to schmooz with oil and gas interests anyway.

Less Cheneys is always a good thing in my book. Get someone from Wyoming to represent us.
