That's people who died from something else, with COVID-19 playing absolutely no discernable part, but they were found to have been exposed to some sort of coronavirus such as a common cold or flu or possibly even COVID-19. According to the CDC, to arrive at the number of deaths actually caused by COVID-19 you have to multiply the "Deaths WITH COVID-19" number that they publish to promote panic by .06 to get the percentage of people who died FROM COVID-19. Currently that's about 70,000 Americans, nearly all of them over 70 years old and/or already dying from one or more comorbidities.
I highly doubt anyone actually reads his posts lolYeah, no one believes your nonsense except you. Sorry, Charlie.

Well I’ve written it over and over and never been called a name, I think everyone is in agreement that it’s a fucking mess.been saying this for a year and have been insulted for it for a year. I'm callous. Heartless.
Disgusting. Despicable.
I dont want to actually solve the problem. I AM part of the problem….
No one here will ever backstep and say whoa. Maybe OB had some points.
Never.
And watch this post will trigger some people into yet another defensive stance while providing new insults.
Instead of saying, yeah.. its gotten really bad out there….

Totally. I actually don’t think there have been any Covid deaths, these people actually all died from their heart stopping. 1 divided by 500 is .002.

Yes. The court has basically ruled that we either have to house them or let them be (barring actions requiring 24hr notices, etc). I haven't seen anything that would change that.Going to Moda last night was shocking. We parked a few streets away, like always. We couldnt even walk down the sidewalks like we always have. They were full of tents and BBQs, mattresses, weed, etc. Made me mad. I was with two of my kids, we walked into Moda, told wife, I will go get car after game, you guys wait here for me. Fucking pathetic the city has been taken over by a small % of people. I honestly am starting to care less and less about "oh no what do we do" just do something, get them out. Sorry but .01% of the population doesnt get to ruin a city for everyone else - the ones who pay taxes to boot

@Phatguysrule Portland Police to rollout new unit to address gun violence issue
This comes just months after the city disbanded the Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT). Since the city disbanded the GVRT, shootings skyrocketed, but city and community leaders do not agree on the reason.
Portland’s police chief has told KATU News that the city’s decision to disband the GVRT made the surge in violence worse than it would have been if the team were still in place. The unit had officers who focused on patrol, others who focused on investigating shootings, and another group that worked with community groups to target people involved in gun violence.
It's weird that I have never received an alert for a post I was quoted in that was subsequently liked. And weird that in the settings, I can't see an option to show me notifications for posts where I am quoted that are liked. I may be wrong, and am happy to be shown that there is a way to show when you are quoted, and the post is liked, you are notified, but I've yet to see that in all my years posting here. Just seems like there's a few people that want to create more of a victim complex, and look for any ways to do it, including who likes what posts. So I'm happy to apologize if told otherwise, until then, I'm calling bullshitI mean one guy gives me crap for pointing out what he likes. Tries to spin it like i have a fixation with watching likes when all i do is check my alerts and he is right there liking the post i was quoted in. No extra effort to see, but he cries out like i have a concerning issue with my fixation on likes.
This is dumb because interviewing people who quit is just about 100% chance they are bitter and going to bash their employer. Also…reading their statements, good riddance. They sound like people I want out of policing.https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/20...-theyre-leaving-in-droves.html?outputType=amp
Biggest wave of cops retiring in Portland history give their explanations.
That is 31 people's thoughts. Not close to historic numbers. The 31 people who were mad... Far more simply retired.https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/20...-theyre-leaving-in-droves.html?outputType=amp

I never said there is a notification. I said when im notified of something and its where someone quoted me, i read it and at the bottom are the likes. I don't have to go searching around like you do with posts like this. It's weird that I have never received an alert for a post I was quoted in that was subsequently liked. I don't think anybody claimed any specific thing wasn't a contributing factor.I witness speeding and reckless driving like never before.
Id have to be shown hard evidence that this isnt at least, in part, a contributing factor…

Except I never look at who likes a post. I don't give a shit. I've never commented on who has liked my or other's posts. You most clearly do. And call it out often. It's a weird obsession that you use to build a victim complex against yourself without knowing why people like posts.I never said there is a notification. Just sayin…and you try to spin it back on me being fixated with likes when its actually you who is. Ive just noticed it and called it out.

I didn't have to "search" for this post. It's in a thread. If I haven't read the thread before it, it's the first one when sorted by new! Cool concept!
denial?cool story bro. You have every night to play denial. Exercise your right!

Yes, that's how median works. Some are higher, some are lower.https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/or/portland/crime.amp
Crime is up over most of the nation. Yet Portland is way above the national median.
denial?
That has no relation at all to my post. Your obsession with just yelling spin doesn't either. But I don't think you actually understand that. Cheers.yeah.. deny and spin…
Where in Carlsbad? We live on the edge of Carlsbad - in the unincorporated area between Carlsbad and San Marcos.
If they are closer to Carlsbad Village, I am happy for them - The old smoke stack from the old power unit was taken down- quality of life and property values have gone up in that area a lot.

No actual response or relativity to anythingcool story bro.
