Luxury Tax threshold is usually around the 120% range of the cap, right?

So at 102 mil, that's about 122 mil. I'm sure we can shed salary in 2018 as needed. The big worry is the repeater tax in 2019. PA prolly has no problem paying tax for year 1 in 2018 if we win 55-60 games.

I think repeater kicks in if 3 of the last 4 seasons, not consecutive.

Q21 CBA FAQ

  • For 2015-16 and all subsequent seasons, teams pay an incremental rate based on their team salary. They pay the repeater rate if they were taxpayers in at least three of the four previous seasons.

Even better.

If these last few trade deadlines have been any indication, it's easy to shed salary if you have enough liquid assets like 2nd round picks and spot players

Man.... I think we've got to do some kind of consolidation. How are we going to find minutes for all these guys?
I never understand this thinking. Consolidation? We have to have a roster of 13 guys. The better the 10, 11, 12, and 13 guys are the better!

I don't think Ezeli/Plumlee and Davis work together with the second unit, especially with Harkless there as well. Pretty bad spacing.

Here's to Hark being +35% from 3 next season

I'm starting a lobby right now for Chris Kaman to be our color guy broadcaster

Consolidation because of the very same reason why Crabbe wants out. He wants to start.

Not in the playoffs, when you can weight playing time more towards your best players. Then it's better to have a more top-heavy roster.

Someone's 12th man last season is our new likely starting center this season.

I'm seriously digging this roster.

Elite guard who can create, score, and shoot? Check.
Elite SG who can create and shoot? Check.
3rd creator off the dribble and midrange scorer? Check
Versatile defenders who can switch at the wing positions? Check
Shooters? Check
P&R finishers? Check
Rim protector? Check
And future project players? Check

Our oldest player is Evan Turner at 27.

Dammmnnn

The checklist for winning a NBA Championship.

Draw your own conclusions on what I mean by that

If I had to choose between Davis and Plumlee, I'd definitely keep Plumlee. I love Ed but Plumlee is better and players like Ed aren't that hard to replace.

Davis is the Maurice Lucas, Kevin Duckworth of this team. The junkyard dog. You need those kind of guys.

I feel like we're in limbo until we have some closure on Crabbe/Harkless/Leonard.

Harkless is a lock to be resigned. Leonard takes the QO probably. Bye Crabbe, don't forget us.
