Not rushing him back from what? Dude is approaching a torn ACL recovery timeline. I wouldn't be surprised if he never plays for Portland and is used as a contract to trade.

in his previous 2 years with the Warriors he played 46 regular season games each yr, even with time out for injury recovery, so they did not "rest" him that much. The "no news" scenario IMO is not a good sign, hope I am wrong as we BADLY need him

Ezeli was 5th in the league last year (among those who played at least 40 games and ave > 15 min per game) in +/- per 36 min at + 10.4. We probably win game 2 in GS last year if not for Ezeli shutting our offense down. Blazers led by 10 when he checked in with 4 min left in the 3rd, & when he finally checked back out with 3 min left in the 4th, Dubs led by 3. He blew up our pick & roll sets that had been crushing Bogut. It would be nice if we had at least some idea of what is going on with him. Nov 16 they said he was going to get a second opinion on his left knee. Almost a month later & no update. Why announce he's getting another medical opinion if you don't plan on following that with an update of the results?

"We don't know when" is literally the worst answer you can get when talking about a player's injury. It either means:

a.) We know what is wrong, and it's going to probably keep him out the whole season or more, but we don't want to disclose it to the media.
b.) We actually don't know what the fuck is wrong, and who knows when or if he will ever play again

We went through this shit with Oden. His body never recovered in the projected timeline after his second microfracture, and it was actually the end of his career. Festus probably has some sort of chronic issue that makes it physically dangerous for him to continue playing (even though he probably could). There's a good chance his career is done.
