If the team wants to win a title……I couldnt keep a straight face……then right now, Chauncey is not the best coach for this team

So technically we could fire him now, thenYou can't fire Chauncey until after he wins a championship.
LOL @ "badketball."I would try to kick Billups upstairs. Make Cronin president of badketball operations and Billups GM.
Classy move by the Bucks given that his brother died during that playoff series...
How do you know Jody is cheap. Why waste money on the luxury tax, especially repeater tax, when you don't have the right parts yet. She signed Dame, Ant, Nurk to very nice money deals. That's not being cheap. If Joe can acquire the right pieces, i'd be shocked if she wouldn't allow the team to exceed the tax line. She's investing in the team and arena. That's not cheap. This ain't the movie, Major League.Players like Jerami Grant really like Billups and rumors are some other players like Jaylen Brown like him too. I never heard of any player wanting to force their way to Atlanta or Milwaukee to play for Bud.
No sense in firing Billups when the team is nowhere near contending. He has developed young guys like Sharpe well. If some good starters force their way to the Blazers as Grant did and want to play with Billups then we should give them at least a season to do it.
Plus Jody is cheap, and likely doesn't want to pay two coaches. I'd rather they put any extra money to improving the roster first. Why pay two head coaches for the same season when the roster can't contend?
Solid points about players liking Billups. Might have to keep him while building our talent level.Players like Jerami Grant really like Billups and rumors are some other players like Jaylen Brown like him too. Tell that to DameChauncey is good with the kids. He gives the starters a long runway to pad their stats and play fake defense. Coach understands it's just a game, go out there and have some fun.
Spending lots of Jody's money on a new coaching staff is out of the question. Billups is a nice coach to the players. Winning games with better coaches is not a priority, as long as the trade deadline tank window remains open.

Any chance Bud's next job is not a head coach gig?
