Which team will most regret letting their players go to Portland?

Do y'all really think Batum is going to stay in CHA? That team is going nowhere fast. He'll bolt for Toronto just like his agent leaked.

Charlotte is gonna lose big on that deal. Typical Jordan shit...

What, he's not going to San Antonio ?

Nets.

Can't really explain it - just a feeling Plumlee can and will continue to improve.

When the trade broke, I looked up Plumlee and he was listed as 6'10" 235 and I was thinking this is an undersized white 4/5 who can't shoot. But the reality is that he measured 6'11.25" barefoot at the draft combine. He is a solid, athletic 7-footer, who looks to be able to pass in addition to moving well on both ends of the court.

I somewhat wish the poll had been separated into voting independently for Vonleh, Henderson and Plumlee. Then I think it would be tougher. But, when you combine Vonleh and Henderson that still seems like the logical choice. Plumlee could easily prove me wrong though.

I really hope Lakers regret letting Davis go because they fucking suck and need to die in some cesspool

They are with Kobe's ridiculous contract keeping them there for at least this upcoming season! Love it!!!

I picked Charlotte for reasons already stated by others in this thread.

If I could pick a 2nd option, I think Dallas will miss Aminu.

What team will most regret letting their players go? Doesn't Portland enter into that territory, or are we only looking at other teams?

I can see why some people think "The Blazers", but I think the question of which team will most regret letting their players go "to the Blazers" is valid, and is the proper question.

The Blazers shouldn't regret "letting" any of the players who left, leave. First, with the exception of Batum and Blake, even if the Blazers had wanted to keep the players who left, it was not ultimately the Blazers' decision. Chances are, every one of them was outta here based on the offers they got from other teams, since none of them were worth matching, especially once it was clear a team of mules couldn't drag LaTex back to Portland. Second, the Batum trade will prove to be an excellent trade for the Blazers. No regret there. Third, rebooting the team at this time is the right strategic move, which required NOT signing certain players, so no regret there. I'm looking forward to moving forward.

In order of regret, I'm going to say Charlotte for sure, then Brooklyn maybe, then a tier below, Los Angeles and Dallas. Then again, I don't know how those players fit into those teams' future strategies, so maybe they have regrets, maybe they don't. In the case of Davis and Aminu, I don't sense those two wanted to go back to their old teams anyway, so, how can their teams regret something they had no control over?

Only the other teams.

Obviously, the Blazers have lost the most talent...but there are extenuating circumstances. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it)

How about Blazers for letting Wes walk?

Yeah, I don't regret letting injured Wes walk and letting Dallas pay his $17 mil per year salary. Love ya Wes. You overachieved like us mortals can only dream about.

I'm surprised that nobody else has voted for Aminu.

I think Dallas will end up regretting not pushing harder to retain him.

Who now has been bitten by a rabid dog to give him a canine insight into the game!

and here I thought air bud was a kind and gentle pup

I didn't choose Dallas because I believe its generally accepted that you shouldn't invest heavily (BIG $$$) in backups. Aminu was slated to be the b/u to Chandler Parsons going forward. Why tie up $$$ that could be used to fill other (more needy) positions around Parsons, Matthews and Dirk.

Because his cap hold was virtually nothing since he was a minimum-salary player last year, so they could easily have committed money to him without impacting their cap space.

But why pay $7M yr to a b/u??

I think that is something you will see more and more of as the cap increases.

I wonder who the highest paid bench player in the league is, and what they earn.
