I did not read the whole string yet but this is a great move for us. Meyers was never going to be consistent on the court and even though he improved, he’s not on Whiteside’s level. The major loss with Mo is perimeter defense but hopefully Bazemore can fill that void.

In terms of whiteside he is an absolute monster when he wants to be, but you have to keep him motivated and get him involved early to keep him in the game. His motor, effort, and attitude (takes himself out of games crying to refs) are reminiscent of Dwight Howard so it is important we embrace him and keep him involved. If we can keep his effort up and get him to go straight up and not go stat hunting for every block, he is a difference maker that will erase a lot of mistakes on the defensive end. Offensively he will feast on putbacks when teams switch and he will punish late rotations with rolls to the rim.

Looking ahead to the playoffs next year, there is a good chance we draw a matchup like the nuggets at some point and we will need multiple bigs with the size and ability to body up jokic and wear him down. I love the idea of 3 rim protecting bigs who should all be starting around the NBA. Really hoping Zach continues to improve his 3 point shot as we will need him to space the floor.

This really a bunch of baloney! He gets more out of less than any coach in the assoc.
I suppose you think the Lakers coach is now the best in the West?
Players love playing for and respond well to Terry's approach..

I spoke to someone this afternoon who is very tight with a big time booster at UNC. He said that by the end of the season, Little was the best player on the team. It may not have always seemed like it because he was playing out of position especially for how UNC uses the '4' spot which is what Little was stuck playing most of the time. Also, he was struggling with a nagging minor injury and kept playing through it but never could get it to heal while he kept suiting up. Said he was a very intelligent, smart player who works very hard. "An absolute steal."

Said he is going to be a solid to good shooter and has very good form. Couldn't believe he fell as far as he did and that it could be a major piece for the Blazers in the future for the next generation of Blazers.

Little, Ant, Collins - I've never seen the Blazers stack the next iteration so clearly and so well.
 
I'm wondering if Whiteside will be fasting during the playoffs if the Blazers get it together well enough to make it playing into the second round again?

7'7" wing and 9.5 standing reach. His near standing dunks look weird. But extremely effective
Just turned 30. He has a solid 3-4 years left
