Who is Neil going to trade for

Me either. Though, if it's Love and 8 in some fashion for CJ and 24...

I like the value of getting to 8. I just don't like Love on our team. In a "positionless" NBA, where you want guys who can switch and rotate, etc. moving CJ for a big seems like an odd move. Especially when you have Nurk, Collins, and Aminu.
And a defenseless 'big', to boot. Pass.

I'd trade CJ for Doncic (draft choice) for the chance to reset and be better in 2-3 years.
Obviously, some fillers (Parsons, etc.) would have to be included to make trade work.

Dame, SG, Doncic, Collins, Nurkic is looking really good in a few years time.

I do not want to trade Dame.

But one of the problems with building a team around him that will compete with the Warriors for a championship is.
He is about the same age as the Warrior's star players. His career is on a similar time line as the superteam.

I do not see a ring for Dame, anywhere.. Unless he can become part of a superteam.

But I repeat, I do not want to trade Dame.

What?? Someone explain to me why he would work out for the Blazers?
He didn't. Their headlines tend to just include everyone mentioned in their article. The Blazers part was just about our Simons workout

We definitely don't need a rookie who thinks he's going to lead the NBA in points and assists -- as a rookie.

Not a lot of people agree but I’m a proponent of being VERY good or VERY bad, I take zero stock in consecutive 8th seed births or winning one playoff game a year for a decade straight. Give me championships or give me high lottery picks.
You would love being a Kings fan.

No, but I bet even you’re not mad trading places with a philly fan right about now. I hate this argument that because you’re drafting in the high lotto that your team automatically becomes sac. You’re team could also be Boston or Minnesota. Both of those teams look wayyy better than Portland.

Will Olshey wait to use the TPE until he sees what team is getting LeBron, and hence will be desperate to clear space?

Maybe, but he should already know the general targets.

How does Minnesota look better? There are already reports of disfunction, they have an outdated coach their franchise player hates, and they’re paying a complimentary player the max.

There will be no trade of significance. Expect improvement through organic growth.

On paper they are a more talented roster. They are deeper without question two actual all stars not perceived ones. A head coach who has made it to a conference final as a head coach. They have won more playoff games in the last two years than us (and they only made it once). There are lots of ways they are in a better spot than us. Like for example, Evan turner. I would rather pay Wiggins 145mil than ET 78. At least Wiggins does things on a basketball court from time to time and is young. They finished 2 games back from us and actually won a playoff game against an elite team. We have nothing to show for the last two years.

talk about an underachieving team...we're way better than Minnesota as stands. Thibs has irritated players into slumps since Chicago
We are not way better than anyone. We are mediocre and overachieve in the regular season sometimes. This roster is devoid of talent. It’s so bad dame got 1st team all nba and hadn’t seen the winning end of a playoff game in more than 2 years. Gtfoh with your blazer exceptionalism

Congrats on addressing literally nothing I typed.

bs...gtfoh with your doomsday comparison...Wolves are so fucking dysfunctional Townes and Crawford are bailing already....right big difference between exceptionalism and sensing progress

Faried + 14
14 + 24 + Zach Collins + Evan Turner for LMA
Nah, won’t happen. But curious to see what happens with LMA, doesn’t seem like the Spurs will get much in return for Kawhi, if they choose to deal him.

Not a bad scenario...other than the LMA part. I would want someone back a little younger. (Unless of course it was LBJ)
LMA will be 33 next month.

Have we talked about Norman Powell? Should we? Raptors have him on the block. Don’t know how good he is and has a big extension about to kick in.

He was getting DNP coach decisions last season so going to be hard pressed to live up to his contract. I would send Meyers for him though.
