Who is your 2ND favorite team?

When I was a grad student at USC, the Clippers still played at the Sports Arena, which is literally across the street from campus. They were my second faves then - including when they looked like they were going to break the 76ers record for suckiest team (they had Pooh Richardson and Bo Outlaw, among others) and they just missed setting a record for losses in a row by beating the Bucks, who had just activated their prized rookie, Glenn Robinson, after a protracted contract dispute.

But now it's too hard to ignore the sleaziness of Sterling, and I've gone right off Dunleavy too (who, of course, was coach and GM of that Bucks team). I do like Baron Davis, though...

I used to like the Kings, as well, but Webber kind of killed that buzz, and now they're just depressing. But I will follow their progress this season because of Sergio.

I guess it'll have to be the Spurs. Love Duncan, love Ginobili, love Parker. Pops is great, too. I guess they're my least "hate" team. Although I did root against them in the Spurs-Pistons final, when the Pistons had that great team of which only two players remain (Big Ben II does not count).

With NBA I dont have a 2nd favorite team, I still follow the other teams almost religiously. I'll even sit and watch a Clipper-Grizz game lol. when its not Blazers I'm watching I just hope both teams play a good entertaining game, and that includes the Lakers, sorry guys.

I have always like the Magic since they came into the league. A few years ago when there was all the talk of the Blazers leaving I said I would be a Magic fan if that happened.

I actually have about 25 2nd favorites. You gotta love the LeaguePass!

The Kings
- the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
- They used to be a lot of fun to watch back in the Adelman days. Jason Williams, then Bibby and their bigs passing out of the post.
- They're a fellow small market team.

3rd "favorite" team (grudging respect would be a better way to put it) is the Spurs. Despite their constant whining and their somewhat boring basketball, they're (almost) everything I want the Blazers to become.

Speaking of our logo, why is it that our current one is crooked? You can't even see the "p" and "b" on the pin wheel anymore.

My second fav. team is the Knicks, as I followed them closely for quite a while when I lived in NJ. I loved that 99 team's toughness and hard play. JVG won me over that time. So did Alan Houston.

You can't really see the "P" on that logo either, unless you are looking in a mirror.

I don't really have a second favorite anymore. Used to be the Pistons when Sheed went there and they had Billups and were always in the running. That's been over for a few years. I'd always watch a D'Antoni Suns game, if only for the spectacle.

Now though, aside from the Blazers, I really just follow individuals. I'll watch any Chris Paul or LeBron game. I like watching Garnett dominate all facets. I still get a kick out of watching Zach Randolph and his screwy way of scoring in the post without ever leaving the ground, but probably less than I used to.

Hmmmm.

Ever feel like you just wrote a post exactly like Andy Rooney would?

Sounds like it "huddle time" for barfo. :dunno:

Let it all out. We're here for you.

Hmm after further review I have to include the Sonics (RIP), the Hawks, NOH as long as Paul is on the team, I even gained respect for Houston during that series. As long as it's not Boston, Utah or LA and they aren't playing Portland, I can be talked into liking most teams.

I would like the Thunder if they hadn't formerly been the Sonics and weren't in the same division as Portland.

I would have to go with Cleveland all because of LeBron. You just never know when that guy is going to do something absurd.

...my 2nd favorite team is the Blazer's bench team!!! :drumroll:

This is how I am. I don't have rooting interests (unless or another team's win or loss helps the Blazers) when watching other teams.

I used to enjoy watching the SSOL Suns teams. OKC has a lot of good young talent that I think will be fun to watch. The same could be said for Golden State (although more so when they had a healthy Baron Davis on the team).

I don't know who my second favorite is right now. Don't really have one, although I enjoyed watching Orlando (and the Chicago/Boston series) in the playoffs.

I live in Denver...I don't hate the Nuggets but can't root for them since they're in the division.

My 2nd Favorite team is the Wiz. Gilbert Arenas is my second favorite player to watch aside from BRoy. He takes some of the dumbest shots you've ever seen but they seem to fall.

+2

There are a few individual non Blazers whom I like and so I root for their teams when they are not playing Portland.

+3, or whatever number we are up to now.

For me, the non Blazers I like and root for are former Blazers.
