We had a chance to prevent these terrible candidates by suspending the Constitution and making Barack Obama "leader for life," but we didn't have the courage as a people. We'll have to answer to history for that.

Without a long-form birth certificate from Nairobi? How dare you.

I believe the DNC / media will determine who the VP will be. Joe will probably have some say but not final.
Remember, Joe is a bit shaky and really his VP will be the DNC pick to be President. Unfortunately I think Joe is a figure head candidate because of age and shakiness. When James Carvell & the networks sounded the alarm about Bernie, it changed the race, he was clear as day to me, that DNC/media got there way. Which is ok...but the VP selection will be the determining factor for next eight years.

It seems that you don't understand how presidential politics works. The DNC is appointed in large measure by the nominee who is the head of the party. You think ineffectual figurehead Tom Perez is going to pick the VP? That is way off base.

The Parties are established way before a nominee is selected and yes they can be throw their weight around like the last two primaries. The committee’s are beholden to donors whom have influence too.
Tom Perez could indeed along with donors and other party chiefs influence the VP selection if they think Joe had the wrong one. Who do you think does the vetting!

Biden's team does the vetting. Biden was VP as you will recall. He has very clear specifications as to what he is looking for. Sure, he will listen, but in the end, this is actually his decision alone.

Just a little bit of presidential historical knowledge proves this. Bush chose Cheney. Obama chose Joe. JFK and RFK chose LBJ. etc.

Thinking anything is is just incorrect, sorry.

My point initially was that Joe being a bit shaky and everyone know's he is, and considering his age as well, the DNC will have influence. Look at the influence they pulled on Bernie by having Carvel going public bashing his social agenda.
You underestimate the donors and media on both sides. Sure it will come out that hand picked is VP and it was a no brainer. Just like when Kennedy felt forced into accepting Johnson as his running mate for political reason.

Do really think Joe is control of what's going on? not so sure, but Im voting for him.

Yup, and that's why his VP pick is so critical.

Bush picked Cheney? Blue pilled comment if I've ever heard one.

Keeping the faith in a two party system and expecting different results is insanity.

Cheney was the real president. That is why Bush picked him

Really? Interesting. I googled it and it said they weren't related. Thanks for clearing that up.
I also looked that up and got conflicting reports. I'll presume it is true and that the conflicting report was probably based on a lazy search.

Life expectancy for a 78 year-old male is about 9.5 years, so Joe has pretty good odds of finishing his first term and maybe even a second. Someone may have to help him figuring out marbles from peas at that point though.
Also, he'll have the best medical care in the world.

Amy Klobuchar has removed her name from consideration...classy move, Amy !

Klobuchar Withdraws From VP Consideration, Says Biden Should Pick A Woman Of Color.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., says she is withdrawing her name from consideration to be Joe Biden's running mate, calling on the former vice president to pick a woman of color.

"Since I endorsed the vice president on that joyful night in Dallas, I've never commented on this process at all," she said on MSNBC Thursday night. "But let me tell you this after what I've seen in my state, what I've seen across the country. This is a historic moment and America must seize on this moment."

BREAKING: Sen. Klobuchar announces she is withdrawing from consideration to be Joe Biden's vice presidential choice: "I think this is a moment to put a woman of color on that ticket.

Klobuchar says she called Biden and told him, "I truly believe ... this is a moment to put a woman of color on that ticket."

"There are so many incredibly qualified women. But if you want to heal this nation right now. My party, yes, but our nation, this is sure a hell of way to do it. And that's just what I think after being through this in my state."

Klobuchar ran her own campaign for the Democratic nomination, picking up some late momentum. She had a moderate, Midwestern appeal, but failed to excite the Democratic base or voters of color.

Several women of color have been floated as possible VP picks including California Sen. Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, Florida Rep. Val Demings, Susan Rice and New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

As NPR has reported, Biden is also facing increased pressure from black women leaders and activists in the Democratic party to pick select a black woman as his running mate.

Pretty much the case as it stands right now.

Depending on how she handles the crisis in her city, Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms could either jump to the top of the list or fall to the bottom.

I don’t know. Biden/Lance Bottoms would be a really odd bumper sticker.

It’s going to Be Rice.
Stand back and see how this is very close to an Obama ticket. Obama still has big time equity when it comes to what the people want.
Plus Obama would be a huge part of Joe and Susan’s campaign. Covers all the bases.

I had something lanced on my bottom once...
Now you've ruined my whole damn day. Quick, somebody show me an interesting picture so I can get that and the dick sucking out of my head.

My wife suggested Michelle Obama.

Winner winner chicken dinner.....Do you think she would do it?
I think it's a pipedream. I personally think that although she's light years ahead of Trump she's not really qualified to be our President.
With the withdrawal of Klobuchar I'm going with Stacey Abrams. I still see Kamala Harris as being the best candidate for Attorney General. I'd like to see Amy Klobuchar somewhere in the cabinet.

I listened to a Stacy Abrams interview and found her to be really bright and impressive...I'd actually like her as VP....they may go with a black VP with the last name Time....so the bumper sticker would say vote for Biden-Time!

Kamala is out there on TV a lot right now. Saw her on Cobert last night. Seems like she is getting a test run. Warren and Val Demmings are not nearly as visible right now. I have said all along it will be Kamala and I think she would be a fantastic choice.

I don't think Michelle Obama. Susan Rice, I still see as a Sec of State, she has no experience campaigning. Maybe Harris.

Harris was the first to drop out and support Biden so I'm pretty sure it'll be her. After hearing Stacy Abrams I had to say I think she's an impressive person and really, really bright.

Susan Rice also is the type of person who could galvanize conservatives to vote against--from what I can tell, conservatives hate her with a passion. I think Abrams or Harris would be great picks. Not sure Abrams is interested, though.

I honestly think Rice would make a good secretary of state, Harris a good Attorney General and Abrams a good VP..Joe should stack his cabinet with strong women in important positions.
