Until someone posts a link regarding their decision being about the Seattle media market, this notion needs to be dispelled with. It's purely speculation.

The snapper gets my vote. But ONLY if Bill Walton is added. They can both do color. Who would be the ref.. er... play by play guy?
 
Agreed but this is a forum so we are all speculating on what and who.

We could be wronger than wrong.

Sadly, Snapper is in ever worse health than Walton and nearly as old as Rice. He started to have health problems in 2005 and has suffered from multiple health issues since. He's been retired from broadcasting for over 10 years.

I'd be fine with Kevin Calabro. He's a great play-by-play guy. I don't give a shit if he's a Seattle guy. So was Schonz - until he became a Portland guy.

As others have mentioned, it would be hard to lure any of these guys away from their national gigs, but I'd love to have any of Smitty, Brent Barry or Greg Anthony. They are are all former players who are articulate and know the game. But please, dear god, don't let it be that fool Mark Jackson. He's fucking horrible.

I would never be able to listen to a blazer broadcast if they hire Jackson. He and Jeff Van-dipshit are insufferable... Whoever picked them for the finals should be publicly hanged.

Jackson spent the entire 2014-15 season pumping Westbrook for MVP and downplaying Steph Curry's accomplishments because he thought we were all too dumb to notice the obvious fact that as a coach he was holding back Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Steve Kerr took the exact same roster from 51 wins and a 1st round exit to 67 wins and an NBA championship. In the process, he took Steph Curry from a borderline all star to the league's two-time MVP. Curry's scoring average has jumped 6.1 ppg (from 24.0 to 30.1) under Kerr compared to playing for Jackson, and he does it while playing 2.3 FEWER minutes per game.

Jackson sucked as a coach and he sucks even worse as a broadcaster.

During McGowan's interview on The Fan yesterday, he hinted that an announcement on the replacements could be coming very soon.

It's exciting. I hate change, but since it happened, you can only be excited to hear who they thought would be better, and then either praise them or rip them apart for not understanding their fan base
