Where is the all of the above option, or the many of them option?

JVG has been my choice for awhile now.

I also think Pritchard would be a great choice.

In my opinion its not a good idea to have the person assembling the team coach them, it just turns into an ego-maniac mess in most cases and perhaps too with KP. Look at Isiah Thomas in New York. Now I know KP's character doesn't resemble Isiah's at all but the same problems could arise.

Well Poppovich made the transition with San Antonio. He was GM and Coach. Shortly after, they removed the gm name of the title and he was just coach.

R.C. Buford took over GM responsibilities in 2002.

If your objection to Nate is his grind-it-out style and offensive ugliness, how on earth can you want Van Gundy to replace him?

Where's the option for Larry Brown? Sure he's coaching the Bobcats, but LB is one of the few coaches to coach two teams in one season...

JVG is running away with this one. His offensive pace is just as slow, if not slower, as Nate's.

That's one reason why I'm not taking many posters here seriously anymore.

If Nate had to go, I wouldn't mind Patrick Ewing. He really wants to be a head coach and he has paid his dues in Orlando. SVG says he's great and I think he could be a good coach for Oden.

If you look at former players who want to be head coaches there is no better choice, IMO, that Kevin McHale.

Last year when he coached the Wolves they were a completely different team. He knows what he's doing. And I know he'll know what to do with Greg and LaMarcus.

To give him credit, he did take the 8th seeded Knicks to the Finals in 99.

That was the lock-out year. The crappy Blazer team with Jim Jackson and JR Rider made the WCF that year, and Whitsitt had the good sense to blow that mess up.

Yeah and he was the GM for the three years before that. That means he was GM and Coach the year they won a championshp. In 2006, Riley won the championship as President and General Manager/Coach.

I loved that team.
