I swear, I meant to type "you're a young buck". Honest typo...I mean STUPID AUTOCORRECT!Are someone of you going to go back and clean up your personal attacks or am I just doing to start deleting posts?
Hating on younger generations has been goin on forever, it just hasn't been publicly shamed like other forms of hate. But in the end, it's still just ignorant hate because people are scared of change.
People denied that Jordan was great for quite some time.... People still deny that Kobe is great. Mostly Jordan lovers... People still deny that lebron is great. Mostly Kobe lovers...
I read the first paragraph. Not wasting my time with the rest. How does one rational mind equate an opinion about level of talent as hate, if that opinion differs from someone else?
My god the leaps and bounds of our youth... and the inability to see the big picture astounds me.... Probably has to do with this instant media and drive through world.
Some youth sure seems to forget there is a lot less footage of the greats of past compared to now, so you see more of the greats now than in the past.
I don't think anyone is hating on anyone, but young minds seem to stretch certain things into what they aren't because of lack of experience....
For the record. I was of those who thought today's players were by far better... until I LISTENED to the opposing arguments with an OPEN mind. And they were able to sway me. Why? Because I am rational and listen to both sides and acknowledge that I do not know everything and others may have viewpoints I haven't seen yet....
So while we sit here and accuse people of hating on shit, lets keep in mind the tunnel vision we can have while doing so....

Sounds like you feel like you're hated for being a millennial. I get that - it's definitely something that happens with each new generation. But you're being hated on for not knowing when you don't know what you're talking about - not for being young. You have no idea how many arguments I've had with my mom wherein I've defended the millennial generation and its trappings/culture/technology. I'm sorry if you feel shunned, shamed and shat upon by older, wiser, and sometimes more close-minded generations.Hating on younger generations has been goin on forever, it just hasn't been publicly shamed like other forms of hate. But in the end, it's still just ignorant hate because people are scared of change.

Denny's provided some. I have yet to see the other side of the argument put together a list that rivals either my list or Denny's.
I'd also point out that Bernard King was hurt most of that season. The year before he led the league in scoring at 32PPG and a 25 PER.
Theus was also a good player. One of those guys who used to kill us.At the peak of his career, however, King suffered a devastating injury to his right leg[1] while planting it under the hoop attempting to block a dunk by Kansas City King Reggie Theus. The March 23, 1985 injury, which included a torn anterior cruciate ligament, torn knee cartilage, and broken leg bone,[6]required major reconstruction, causing King to miss all of the 1985-86 season. To that point no NBA player had returned to form after such a potentially career-ending injury, surgery, and loss of time.
I don't feel like anyone is hating on me. I feel like you're hating on basketball players. Whether they're generation x or millenials. They aren't less talented than baby boomers etc.Sounds like you feel like you're hated for being a millennial. I get that - it's definitely something that happens with each new generation. But I can't say that that's what's happening here. We're all still Blazers/basketball fans today just like some of us were back in the 80s/90s - according to your theory those of us who think the past generations were better should hate basketball now. My friend's dad fits that type of person you're describing, but I don't think that many people here do. We all have just as much of a connection to today's players (could be argued we're more connected to them) as we had to past players. It doesn't make us feel better that our heroes from back then were better than they are now. And the fact that Sabonis is my favorite player ever doesn't diminish how much I like Dame and CJ.
I said that if someone denies logic to appease their own personal bias, then that makes them an idiot. If he took offense to that, that's not my problem.
I thought you ignored me??
I saw that, but... it kinda... not the worst... but... next time match sure you're attacking the post, the the person making the post. I kinda read that as, "you're an idiot if you don't agree me."

I answered the first paragraph. Are you not entertained?Your over the top. I dontg actually ignore people as in using the ignore function. I don't need to. I'm fully capable of reading your posts and not commenting if I want. But you were not being rational. Just like this post here. You didn't read my whole post but assume you think I know what I said and that i'm wrong...
That is worthy of ignoring. And so I shall continue to ignore you. I've tried teaching you a lesson and failed. In part because of how I try, but I also have come to understand some people don't learn until they learn to listen...something I have not seen from you yet.
Carry on...

You asked me one question and I answered it. You don't like my answer?
No, I'm saying that logic tells us; that there has not been a genetic mutation causing people all over the world to be born less talented basketball players. Not true at all. You are smart enough to know there are play on words and things can be manipulated. HE worded that way on purpose, so it wasn't a personal attack. But it was every inch of a personal attack and he knows it. Why is it a personal attack? Because he is saying HIS Logic and HIS opinion is fact and if you disagree you are an idiot.
Well everyone is going to disagree because opinions are opinions, not facts. So in essence he said everyone is an idiot. I know your smart enough to see how he played that out.
You still have no response to my answer of your question?Or your posts. But it doesn't make me a hater and it doesn't mean I hate you... Hope you come to understand that one day...
You're supposed to see the devilwink and understand the sarcasm. Not true at all. You are smart enough to know there are play on words and things can be manipulated. Doesn't Mexico already make the NBA's shorts?Do you think it was the short shorts that made the NBA better in the 80s?
Make the NBA great again! Shorten the shorts!
And make Mexico pay for it!!!
When did I ever argue that they're better today? They're just as good. That's all I'm saying. With how the game has been changed in officiating...
I have a very hard time believing that todays stars are better than previous decades.
I have a very hard time believing that Curry is better than Stockton.. On par with him I can more believe...
Especially when you take the 88-96 stretch Stockton had... Where he not only led the league in assists. He lead the league in steals 2 years during that stretch also.
Curry might be a better shooter & put up more points on a nightly biases... But as far as talent goes. John Stockton compares quite well with Stephen Curry.
Which is a complement in itself to be on the level of John Stockton.
There are generational players for every decade.. Wilt to LBJ.
These players match up very well with each other.. And shouldn't be part of the discussion.
Damn and I'm a millennial.. Shame on me for saying these things. I'm supposed to orgasm when Curry makes 3s.
