WHY did we sign Miller?

Yet another crummy game where our "starting point guard" only garners 2 assists. Sure, people point to his 52 points, but come on man, 2 ASSISTS! 2 ASSISTS!

Exactly! Z-Dre!

Funny, TlongII is nowhere to be found now...

I'm right here. Great game by Miller. Very surprising, but great game.

Jason Kidd had more assists by himself than our entire team did, yet we somehow still won. Amazing.

Perhaps because Andre Miller had almost as many points by himself (52) as their entire starting five (58). Andre created his own, unassisted scoring opportunities.

Nope. It was only 1 game after all.
Not the first game he was the main reason we won. He's probably won us 4-5 games on his own, that has to be worth something. I can't think of any other player on the roster outside of Roy that has single-handedly won us more games.

To go along with the 11 where he averaged 18/8 before his little 2 - 3 game slump?

For the month of January (15 games) he averaged 18.8 PTS, 6.7 AST, 4 REB and shot exactly 0.500 from the field. When was the last time we had a PG come close to matching those numbers? In fact, it's very rare for a Blazer PG to average ONE of those things for a month, let alone all four.

More importantly...why is Miller playing at all when we have Mills on the bench with a DNP?!? He is our future, not MIller!

So he had a decent January statistically. BFD. I don't care for his game. I hope he plays well for the rest of the season, but I'm not counting on it.

What don't you like about his game - all the winning. Seriously, go back and look at the schedule the Blazers played this month, and with all the injuries they've had, tell me how many games the Blazers would have won without Andre Miller. A lot less than they did.

Whether or not you "care for his game" he's helping this team win games against all odds and keeping them in the play-off race despite a very tough schedule and a depleted roster. I'm not sure what you don't care for about that. Could you elaborate?

Roy has played better with Miller starting. Webster, until his current slump, was playing a lot better since Miller took over the starting PG role. Of course, Miller himself had a very productive month, and the team is winning games they really shouldn't be, like tonight's road win over first place Dallas, minus Roy, Oden, Prybilla and Outlaw. What exactly about that don't you care for?

Dang! Mixum, is that you?

Sounds more like Nate "You don't play the way we want to play" McMillan to me.

Or, perhaps John "Miller doesn't fit with Portland. He'll never fit. You know it. I know it. The Blazers players know it" Canzano.

You know, someone who made up their mind about Andre Miller and refuses to reconsider no matter how well he plays and how many games he helps this team win.

We signed him for his defense.

For the OP - Miller provided the perfect answer last night [deleted].

All the winning? Really? Has the guy ever won a playoff series? He may have, but I don't recall it. Miller can't keep his man in front of him and he turns it over too much for my taste. The fact of the matter is that he was playing poorly before January. He played great last night, but I don't think it's a coincidence that his opponents were primarily the ancient Jason Kidd, and the midget otherwise known as J.J. Barrea.

Careful, T. Someone may ending up swapping your body with Jessica's. Same posture. :)
