Just when you think that this election couldn't possibly get any weirder...

It's freaking weird... John Podesta is fucking weird. And considering Hillary wants to take god out of things, perhaps she's really into this shit too. I'm more agnostic anyway so whatever, but pigs blood on the wall? Come on... man!

There's no evidence that Podesta went to this thing or that, if he did, it was for anything more than a "what the hell" look at this "artform." But still, a really strange quirk in this crazy election.

the irony is the empowerment you like to give dictators and the idea that Putin saved the US from a war is....well.....sort of like you trying to make Russia great again......it's ok...I didn't think you'd read those articles posted by informed journalists....you counter with Putin to the rescue!!!!!! It's glaring apparent that you have more fear of Democrats than Russians....how do you come to the conclusion that Putin is the voice of reason in Middle eastern politics......he has one ally there....only one. To trust Putin more than Obama concerning foreign diplomacy is your choice......and Trumps....got it

I can't deny what Putin did in this case.

Three years ago, when a reluctant President Barack Obama was about to launch an attack on Syria, supposedly in retaliation for President Bashar al-Assad crossing a “red line” against using chemical weapons, Obama smelled a rat – or rather he sensed a mousetrap.

Advised by some of his intelligence advisers that the evidence blaming the Syrian government for the lethal sarin attack was weak, Obama disappointed many of Washington’s neocons and liberal war hawks, including those in his own administration, by deferring action. He tossed the issue to Congress, thus guaranteeing a delay.

Precisely at that key juncture, Russian President Vladimir Putin took the pressure off Obama by persuading the Syrian government to destroy its chemical weapons, which Assad did – while still denying any role in the attack at Ghouta, just outside Damascus, on Aug. 21, 2013.

Washington’s hardliners were left aching for their lost opportunity to attack Syria by citing the Ghouta attack as a casus belli. But the evidence suggested, instead, a well-orchestrated Syrian rebel false-flag operation aimed at fabricating a pretext for direct U.S. intervention in the war on Syria.

With Putin’s assistance in getting Assad to surrender the chemical weapons, Obama was able to extricate himself from the corner that he had rather clumsily painted himself into with his earlier bravado talk about a “red line.”
Not so ironically (or coincidentally), Putin had no fear of annexing Crimia a few months later.

JFK, Obama ain't.

You think it's absurd that political actors make moves and counter-moves behind the scenes to effect a particular outcome?

The West and Russia have been natural adversaries going all the way back to the fall of the Tsars (and before that really if you look at the Crimean war, The Franco-Russian wars). Big nation-states with big ambitions are always going to have friction. That Russia would attempt to sow chaos and manipulate its adversaries through spycraft, propaganda, and statecraft seems like a given to me.

No. I think it's absurd to think that Trump is somehow Russia's puppet, a Manchurian candidate. That's just ridiculous.

Gotta love the fact that Clinton knows damn well whose funding ISIS and willingly takes money from them for favors. Then we continue to send American forces to the meat grinder in Syria and some end up dead. Completely corrupt.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Syrian_Civil_War
the meat grinder is not killing foreign soldiers at even a tiny fraction of the casualty stats....check it out..as of this report only 121 foreign soldiers killed mostly on the borders of Syria and only 1 was American.....although at least a million people from the region have died including about 900 children....our engagement in the middle east has produced fewer casualties of US troops than probably any war or conflict in American history....3 American soldiers were killed in Jordan just today though...from a war vet's perspective...this is hardly a meat grinder for our troops

I do too....Trump is not a Russian puppet...he's just easy for Putin to manipulate...big difference from being a Manchurian candidate. Putin is definitely no JFK

I don't think he is willingly. More like a "useful idiot."
They're going on and on about the Manchurian candidate milarky and other conspiracy theories on CNN and other major new outlets.

He has a server talking to a server at a Russian bank!

I never said he was a Manchurian candidate, but I do think it's worth looking into DT's ties to Russia, especially in light of Paul Manafort's Yanukovich connection, and the amount of business he has conducted in Russia in the last decade. There probably wouldn't even be this cloud of suspicion if Trump hadn't declared so much admiration for Putin's style of "leadership."

Report: National Enquirer withheld story about Trump affair

Tabloid newspaper the National Enquirer withheld a story about Donald Trump’s past affair with a former Playboy model, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

According to the Journal, the Enquirer, which endorsed Trump for president, paid model Karen McDougal $150,000 for her story about having an affair with Trump in 2006.
But the paper never published the story.

Trump was married to his wife Melania when he had the affair with the 1998 Playboy Playmate of the Year, according to documents reviewed by the Journal and sources familiar with the matter.

Trump is friendly with the Enquirer’s owner, David Pecker.

In a statement, Enquirer ownership company American Media Inc. said that it paid McDougal for fitness columns and magazine covers, as well as rights to any relationship with a married man.
