Fuck yeah. What can we send them for 10?

They were pushing for the playoffs at the trade deadline, but I imagine they have a different perspective now since they traded Caruso…That move makes me think they’ll keep their pick.

push for the playoffs.... so let's trade our best defensive player for a guy who was unplayable in the playoffs.

that makes sense.
rumor has it Bulls are about to trade LaVine to Warriors for ... some Dubs. Chicago will needs buckets and assists, someone to provide gravity so DeRozan & Cody can attack.

The Ringer's latest big board has Sarr falling to 7th (or is it how they rate the prospects? Can't tell).

I have not seen any of these guys, I personally like that big board because they give you idea based on resemblance to NBA players, how accurate it is, hard to tell, but some of these guys that people are salivating about are not that enticing. They describe Salaun, for example, as shade of Chandler Parsons, not something I would be excited about... Risacher is described as shades of Tobias Harris, Harrison (effin) Barnes - another prospect that does not make me that excited...

Of course, all these comparisons could be nonsense, but given that I have no other reference, the only ones that seem interesting at the top are Sarr, Buzellis, Castle, Sheppard and Carter

In a draft that's supposedly terrible you wouldn't be happy with a Harrison Barnes or Chandler Parsons? Both of those guys had very good NBA careers.

I would prefer one of the other 5 mentioned over them as the comparison is a lot more enticing to me.

What I am saying is that there are a lot of people that sing Salaun as the next Giannis, where this comparison makes him the next Chandler Parsons. I am not that excited about that, to be honest. They describe Castle, for example, as shades of Andre Iguodala, that's a lot more exciting, imho.

Again, this could all be nonsense, but I like it simply because it gives someone like me that paid so little attention to these guys some reference.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about a projection of a raw 18 year-old. For better or worse (i.e. Zack Collins) a player that young and raw could be turned into any number of different types of players. To me its more about high-end talent, which is what this team needs. Sarr would be great, Buzelis meh, and Castle, Sheppard and Carter are, in my opinion, too duplicative of our young core to be worth even considering.

that would be a dream but Fischer notes here that Washington is laser focused on Sarr at 2

i can’t believe they would actually put this out there..do they not care about their credibility? Sarr is not getting past Washington at #2.

what a joke

The guy that's supposed to go FIRST for the past 6 months?

This guy will prolly not be around at 34 but i am intrigued by him and I might ( if I was the Blazers ) even trade back 5 to 7 spots from 14 to get him - heck might even take him at 14 and that is ..... Shannon Jr

I think he might end up being one of the Top 3 to 5 players from this draft and I know he is a guard but he has height ( 6 '7 ) and might end up being a Jimmy Butler- lite type player. I will admit he is a gamble and not talking about that BS charge he beat but if your talking about biggest upsides then I do believe he is in the Top 5 there for sure but could be a HUGE bust too but i would not be against this gamble.
He seems to be one hell of an athlete; I wonder why he stayed in college so long. Almost 24 years old. Here are his minuses from Ringer; they mock him at 30.
MINUSES
  • He hasn’t defended as well as an upperclassman. His effort isn’t the same as it was in his underclassman years at Texas Tech. Though he carries a heavier offensive workload now, he should still maintain his tone-setting approach from years prior.

  • He’s a bit undersized to have the type of versatility of the league’s greatest defenders, so there’s a cap on his potential.

  • Streaky shooter over his five years in college. He shoots well from the line but hasn’t been able to translate it to the perimeter other than in his junior season.

  • He doesn’t have a reliable floater. He shot at below a 20 percent clip during his four collegiate seasons, per Synergy Sports.

Yes, they have a mock draft and then also how he rates the talent. This is not the mock. Here is the mock with Risacher first, then Sarr.

So I saw the Richasner guy going 1st today somewhere and the above mock has him going 15th??

Ah shit, the guy has 1,000 less followers than my daughter.....nevermind. Why would this guy share his mock draft on here?

The whole idea of the draft is to worry about the projection of every player, be it 18 years old or otherwise, that statement does not make sense to me.

If you think this guy has a reasonable chance to be Giannis, sure, if you think he only has a reasonable chance to be Parsons... that's quite a difference, no?
