please don't, that's a bad memory... I'm not questioning their heart at all, just it's really hard for me as someone who can be way over the top competitive to be ok with not being #1.Do I need to post a picture of Nurks snapped leg?I for one will not question this teams heart to improve.
Its been happening in front of our eye's, already!Jody Allen is the new Oprah of the NBA...."you get a deal, and you get a deal!" I can't stand fickle franchises....love loyalty and good culture...I've been pretty happy and really entertained throughout the Neil era...optimistic that the next chapter of Blazer basketball will be equally as much fun to follow and cheer for.
You can still send it. I'm sure they can find you something. HCP's assistant maybe.DAMMIT! I had my resume all ready to send to Jody.

Thats 100% right! I think the culture that is being built here is great and conducive to attracting other players, in time.Look, franchise stability rocks! Congrats to Neil...!
Of course they want to win a championship and getting WCF experience is a step in the right direction and now they’re banking on continuity the whole way. I mean should 29 teams fire everybody every summer? Here's a thought that I keep coming back too. In 2016 the Blazers surprised just about everyone, and had success. So everyone got paid, everyone was happy, extensions and long term plans. Some of that was good, some of that wasn't as good...
In 2019, they're surprised a lot of people, had success now everyone's getting extensions, were doing supermax's (I'm not questioning if Dame deserves it), but what I am saying is that were so content with literally just making it to the top 4 here in Portland that it's like everyone's done their job... It's almost like making it to the WCF's for the franchise exceeded the goal, winning a championship wasn't really the goal. Just like in 2016 making the playoffs was exceeding expectations.
I really, really don't know how I feel about all of the end of the season stuff... I definitely appreciated the ride they went on, and I think they exceeded my expectations and I'm happy for that, but I'm not content just being 4th, and I feel weird with how content they seem to be with that.
I'm not saying I agree with this but (at least in the West) the continuity approach has worked out better or just as well as the other teams that took big risks.I'm less than enthusiastic about this extension. He better pull some amazing stuff after this. Let it bake isn't what I'm looking for--we could do that without him.
I for one don't get the problem some folks have with Neil and Woj being really good friends..they grew up together..have a long history..so what?
The good thing to take from this is Jody Allen seems all in.
Spending money with the rumored Dame deal, Olshey and Stotts extensions.
Teams that are looking to sell have historically tried to shed salary.
This seems fine. Olshey really blew the 2016 offseason, but he's made smart moves since then--the Nurkic trade added a key core player and his acquisitions of Kanter, Hood and Curry added crucial depth. Over his tenure here, he's been a mixed bag but somewhat more good than bad, I'd say. He's not an amazing GM, but he's probably in the upper half overall.
Not physically, they've known each other since Neil's New York days.Woj was from Conneticut and Neil was from Syracuse...Neil talked about it once in an interview. They have a long history as friends. My point is...so what? Woj is a connected national sports insider and our GM has his ear...sounds like an asset to me.They grew up together? Where did you get this information?
Hey, I happen to be able to do that too. It's what keeps the missus in love with me.....Exactly. What's wrong with sucking dick anyways?
I mean, @SlyPokerDog will lick anything if you use a little peanut butter.

I edited that so it doesn't sound misleading.....they came up in the sports world in the same area and have known each other for pretty much their entire careers...probably a better way to put itThey grew up together? Where did you get this information?
After being compared to a wide mouth jar....that could change!Hey, I happen to be able to do that too. It's what keeps the missus in love with me.....
Man Woj really loves to suck Neils dick
but that was mainly a product of the Blazers having cap space at the exact wrong time when league markets went bonkers because of the influx of cash from the new TV deal.
Please don't minimize 2016. It as all his fault and there's no escaping it.
Fucking Allen Crabbe at 19 per...
That was actually rumored to be Allen’s call, to match any Crabbe offer.

So Jodies legacy could be she brought round ball back to Seattle? This takes their contracts out to when the Rose Garden lease expires, right? So all the pieces are in place to tread water until the team moves to Seattle.
