Blake Griffin with how physical he played it just seems like his body is breaking down and while his game has become better and less reliant on his athleticism, the miles he put on his body with how he played is going to come back to end his career short much like Gerald Wallace.
How is body breaking down if he played moe last year than he has since 2014?

Hes played in over 72% of his games the last 5 years. Not great but not terrible. I'd take a 60 game season and a 72% chance of BG playing in the playoffs.
In the last 3 playoff trips he has had he has played 8 of 17 games. That is not great and in two of those games he was clearly not himself. He just hasn't shown recently he can hold up through the season and play in the playoffs. Thats an awful risk to pay a player that makes almost as much as ET/Aminu/Harkless combined.

He broke down before the playoffs and it was the most games he had played in 6 years, was also the 3rd most games he has ever played in a season. WE have no recent evidence that he wont be hurt come playoffs which is why I talk of his body breaking down.

He'd be healthier of he didnt have to carry a trash franchise.

If you have a better, more realistic way to add top end talent, I'm all ears.

wait and see what the trade market is. We will have plenty of big expiring contracts and we have our 1st round picks. A griffin trade that is there before the season will still be there at the deadline, very few teams will take a risk on that contract with the very real fear that one of both of those final years could be sub 50 games played years.

Sorry but I'm really tired of hearing of this... Do we REALLY want this GARBAGE contract when we already KNOW what's gonna happen??

Age Year Base Salary

30 2019-20: $34,234,964

31 2020-21: $36,595,996

32 2021-22: $38,957,028 ******(player option)******
I know the contract, couldn't pass up the opportunity to get you started, lol.

I'm not sugarcoating shit, I'm stating pure facts.

It's exactly what you're doing. You're in here trying to, at best, insinuate he isn't injury prone. You've been doing it for too long.

The entire world knows how injury prone BG is. He was injured his entire rookie season.

It's still a pig no matter how much lipstick you put on it...

Im not saying he isnt injury prone, I'm saying its not as bad as people make it out to be. Dont put words in my mouth to try to discredit me because youre opinion is :craphead:.

Shoutout to Neil for showing loyalty and not going to a big market city like DC who apparently tried to get him....all is good in the calm waters of Oregon!

To be fair, I don’t think his body is breaking down. I think he’s just injury-prone.
Guys who play highlight dunking styles of hoops usually get dinged up a lot...Duncan played until 40 without those issues...he also didn't dunk or play above the rim a lot...big guys land on their feet with a lot more force than a Tim Frazier would

Washington probably has the worst situation in the league. That Wall contract is terrible and that roster is the definition of treadmill.

I think every GM would prefer our situation over Washington's.

LOL

Would you trade Meyers, Harkless, and Turner for Wall and the #9 pick?

LOL

Nope hahaha. That's how bad it is. Maybe if Beal was traded to the Lakers for the 4th pick and they included that as well.

No, but literally only because of the timing of the contracts, Those guys are just bad contracts for one more year, Walls a bad contract for the next half decade. If the Blazer bad contracts had 2 years left then maybe?

Yeah, but we wouldn't get a top 10 pick that way either.

What if instead they included their 2020 pick unprotected? They could be pretty bad next year.

Man that's hard lol, I'm not sure... Probably not. The one (and probably only) good thing about a supermax-like Wall's is you could use that as an expiring deal in a few years and *in theory* could use it to bring some good things.

LOL, his super max doesn't start until next season. Him and Dame would be making like $90 million between just the two of them in a couple years. Actually, I'm not even positive we can trade for him within the rules of the CBA.

This upcoming year is (starting July 1st) is when John Wall's contract kicks in right? Or is it next summer that it starts?

It's July 1st, year one is only like $38 million so we'd save like $3 million off the contracts of the 3 we traded away. LOL
I almost feel bad for WAS, I thought that was a stupid contract, to begin with but it would suck so hard to give that contract to Dame and him be injured in a similar way before it even kicks in...

Have you ever thought about becoming a GM? You know the salary cap inside n out, are an excellent talent evaluator, and to top it all off are a true student of the game.

Ohh but wait, nobody would want to work with you, so it'd be impossible to get anything done. Nevermind, forget I mentioned it.

Wow, so they'd be giving up Beal, Wall, and #9 for Meyers, Hark, and ET? LOL

Ok?

Yup. That's about even:biglaugh:

9th pick is like the 15th pick in a mormal draft. Wall's contract is cancer.
