Where does Jaquez get minutes? We have Thybulle and Nas who will both be playing the three most likely. Shae also might get minutes at small forward.

Jovic MIGHT get minutes over Bari but I don’t think so. Walker plays WAY better defense and rebounds.

I don't think Nas will be on the team by the time we start the season, so there's that. But, while some see Jaquez as a 2, I think his best position is a small-ball 4. He does enough in so many different ways that he'd stand a good chance of finding his way onto the court. He's not great in any particular way except savvy, but, unlike most of the current Blazers, he doesn't have a glaring hole anywhere in his game, either.

If the Blazers can't get better or be a wash with losing Lillard, I am all for Lillard staying in Portland, and the Trail Blazers making a playoff run next season. Because I believe that's what they would be doing.

I wasn't big on Jovic until seeing him in the last few weeks. I think he's a borderline rotation guy this season who has a good chance of turning into a good four or stretch five.

You must have been watching a different Jovic than I was....

You move Nas to another team. :)

What drives a person to join the Thread Police? Is it an innate sense that they need to serve a purpose larger than themselves? Or is it just their own particular way of being a Karen? The world needs to know.
There are two other Miami threads on this page. One which you started. What purpose does it serve to have one more disjointed conversation over a hypothetical idea that would fit in either thread?

Is this behavior of an attention whore or one who is simply annoying? The world (does not) need to know.

Jaquez could become a low-end quality player.
I think he can become a better player than Martin currently is.

I agree with Jovic. I don't see much potential there.
You must have been watching a different playoffs than I was. Announcers agreeing with me that Martin was Heat's best player in several of their victories.

Apparently you believe that all sentences that contain the word "Miami" mean the same thing

First round swaps are usually done when the team trading them offers them up because they stand a chance at them being worse and thus more enticing for the other team.

On what planet would the Blazers swapping picks with Miami be beneficial?

Only way would be if Dame and Butler are gone.... so maybe 2027? I could see 2027 and 2029 MAYBE having value.

the 2029 unprotected swap might be a very good asset; Butler would be 40, Dame 39. Riley would be 84 and probably retired. The proposed 2025 swap would be generally worthless. 2027 is a maybe. But of course, the Blazers don't own their picks outright. It would need to be a provisional swap. And contrary to the optimism some have, I don't think the Blazers will be out of the lottery during the next 3-4 years
