Not at all.

Just kinda refuting the idea that the two have some sorta synergistic relationship.

And the spotlight sharing thing. Dame's usg and FGAs trump CJ's at end of games consistently.

I agree it can be better at the end of games. CJ has proven he good in those situation. His mid range shot is similar to CP3.....you know it is coming but he still gets it off against bigger players.

I do think Dame needs to refocus on that part of his game as well. I could be wrong but I seem to remember he was more consistent with his pull up mid range shot his rookie year. He seems to be shooting it less and there bye not as consistent.

Hey we should all start a thread everyday with hypothetical trade scenarios involving CJ! Wouldn't that make the off season on here just the best? Keep it to one thread dorks!
Only one a day? Why are you trying to limit us?!

I voted yes, because while neither of the probable top-two players in this draft are certain to be as good as McCollum, both have non-trivial chances to be significantly better. It would be a gamble, of course, but winning championships is hard and you have to win a few bets to do it (or get incredibly lucky and have the #1 pick when a sure-fire franchise player is sitting there).

Is Derozen + Millsap or Derozen + Monroe, worth it?

You can't look at it as a straight across trade. CJ brings it what we are missing, Derozen helps fill what CJ left. Its call a net gain.

And no, I'm not advocating trading CJ at all. But if the right circumstances come along, again, it needs to be at least discussed.

Merge them all I say! Where are these mods...on vacation?

The ideas so far have been..Jahlil Okafor..Nerlens Noel (seriously?)...Brandon Ingram. Pretty laughable if you ask me.

Looks like the Timbertrolls have hacked a bunch of accounts and started pointless Trade CJ threads.

No worries, SlyPokerDog is on the case!

Derozen has said wants a deal starting at $25 million per year and he wants to play for the Lakers. Let them overpay him.

By the same token, I hope the Sixers take Ingram and the Lakers are unable to find a suitable trade partner and end up drafting Simmons. A Simmons/Derozan offseason will be big on "names", but short on shooting.

This merge is yet another example of the minority voice having more say than the majority. Right up there with the Muslims that have Christmas shows changed to holiday shows.

COMPLETE BULLSHIT

I take it you would have preferred to keep all the trollish "would you trade CJ" threads that were cluttering up the board?

id prefer to wait n see what this seasons success has done in regards to free agent interest. getting a top level front court FA would be the goal atm, trading CJ to facilitate that shouldnt be option #1

Actually, the reason the Warriors traded Ellis was two fold.

1. He was a ball stopper according to their scouts. The flow of the offense was affected. And they wanted him to give Curry more shots in the backcourt (which he resisted).
2. They had just drafted a very big SG by the name of Klay Thompson a few months before the deal and they were ready to turn the position over to him.

Of course defense also contributed to it (as it does to our two guys) but I don't see CJ being a ball-stopper that doesn't get Lillard involved and I don't see where Crabbe is ready to be our Klay Thompson.

So it is easy to throw out Curry and Ellis as the same situation as Dame and CJ but it just isn't when you look at it logically.

Ellis is 6'3". The midget back court wasn't what the world champions felt would get them the title(s).

I don't like Govt getting too involved, and the same goes for the mods here

But why do you assume your opinion is the majority opinion? I don't see a rash of others complaining about this oppressive action.

I would have been in favor of a new subforum -- Trade CJ Subforum -- and move all of the threads to that forum

Kidding... kind of...
