I hope Neil makes a move this season that just pisses fans right off

Why? Why would pissing fans off (which would include you, you gave no paramaters) be joyful for you? What an odd statement.

I would trade Damian, for Steph Curry, but that's about it. The list of players I would trade CJ for is considerably longer.

Would you trade CJ for Nerlens Noel if you knew you could sign Derozan this summer?

I'd rather have CJ than Derozen. Derozen really turned me off of him lately.

And may I remind you, I was very pro- trade CJ. Sorry BGD, can't say I'm falling in love with players.

Fuck no! I haven't changed my mind since I wrote this yesterday:

No and no. That lineup makes us worse than we are, older than we are and more expensive than we are. DeRozen is a chucker that wants a max deal starting at $25 million. I hope he gets it - from somebody else.

Neither Noel or Plumlee can score more than 3 feet from the basket. Forget the midrange jumper, Noel is a career .295 shooter from 3 - 10 feet. He can't make anything longer than a dunk or layup.

Yes, he makes us better defensively, but a line up of Noel/Plumlee would KILL our offense. BOTH of the other teams bigs could just camp in the paint making it impossible for Dame and DeRozen to penetrate. DeRozen is a below average outside shooter who relies on slashing and penetration for the bulk of his scoring. Combining him with a Noel/Plumlee front court, would neutralize his one actual skill. He'd be driving into a wall of big men on every possession.

You thought our points in the paint were low last year? With a Noel/Plumlee starting front court, I bet we'd set an all-time NBA record for fewest points in the paint. Neither are dominant low post scorers and both together kill everybody else's chances at getting to the rim.

NO! Quit asking! We have the second back court in the league right now and they have not hit their ceiling yet. Adding one more piece via free agency will create matchup nightmares for every team for years to come. Stop the debate. This backcourt is Neil's baby and he is not breaking it up.

Go look at DeRozan's playoff stats (especially the shooting percentages) and come back and answer your own question.

I thought the baby belonged to the Hoopers?

THERE REALLY ARE NO GOOD CLIPPERS! :MARIS61:

Can y'all imagine if we actually traded CJ for a pick? Then that pick busts while CJ becomes an allstar as a 25/5/5 guy?

"They passed on Jordan and Durant, and they also traded McCollum for a scrub"

Looks a smidge better overall than CJ's playoff stats.

DeRozan:
19.9 ppg, .365 FG%, .174 3FG%, .430 TS%, PER = 11.9, -.2WS

is better than:

C.J.:
20.5 ppg, .426 FG%, .345 3FG%, .513 TS%, PER = 14.1, +0.6 WS

Really?

Now that you consider me government you're going to have to start paying me taxes!

PA is hereby moving to a tax free state and takign the Blazers ( And me) with him.

Fuck your taxes!!! Off the pier with the TEA!!!!

And I really hope he does not read this. He does not deserve the criticism after what he has given this team, and four to five threads debating his departure from the team is insulting.

Well, if he does read it, I hope he sees the majority of us repeatedly shooting down these ridiculous trade proposals.

I get that it's officially the off season and there isn't much else to talk about, but there is a definite grass is always greener mentality here. The guy just won the MIP for god's sake and was THE biggest reason this team greatly exceeded expectations this year. Trading him for an older player, that doesn't fit our system that is SUCKING big time in the playoffs isn't just insulting, it's stupid.

The guy is amazing. His ability to create his own shot and break down defenses is irreplaceable. He's only going to get better from 3 and the stress he and dame put on opposing defenses is paramount to out succesS. They have to pick their poison and good luck with that. Having harkless and chief can help shore up their defense efficiencies. If traded he would haunt us for years to come.
