Another tough pitcher even though they beat him the last time.

...I was looking ahead at the upcoming schedule for the next week and they have to face quite a few tough/good pitchers in a row...and on the road.

3 against the Mets followed by 3 against the Jays. All on the road. It's not going to be easy.

River Avenue Blues pretty much calls a spade a spade. The article on last nights game referred to the Yankees Pen as Triple "A", Dellin & Miller excepted.

This is and will be a "make or break" week, no doubt, some tough Pitching match ups, like 59 said,.........

If the Yanx can come out on top after their 3 game sets with the Mets, and Jays, it should be smooth sailing, leaving only Bosox, O's, and Pale Hose........I hope they don't fk it up.....!!!

21-21 down the stretch here in August and half of September. Frankly, not too much reason for optimism if you ask me. Hate having to go to an NL park next where a lineup that's struggling loses Arod for three games.

...other fans from other teams may rejoice if their team breaks .500 or finishes 2nd or makes it to the PS, only to exit early...that won't cut it with most Yanx fans...we expect to win it all.

I honestly don't see this team going very far in the playoffs, they're just not deep enough.

Depth has been an issue all year. One of the real issues has been what I mentioned last night. Ellsbury and Gardner have just been too dreadful at the top of the order. If they somehow heat up then things could be a little different.

They're table setters but they're not setting the table.

Before the season began, I did not think this team
was good. They proved me wrong. Several players
stepped up. Pitching wise......a lot of question marks.....
the starters had trouble going 7 innings which
eventually killed most of the relievers, save Betances &
Miller who also displayed peaks and valleys.

With the season 3 weeks from completion, I think
they will be the wildcard......and they will play one
game(home or away) and out of the playoffs.

12 & 23 against teams like Cleveland, Texas, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington & Houston. A 500 record against those teams would have kept them in first even with the poor record against Toronto. Tonight they play a horseshit team like Tampa and the line is on Tampa. They've exceeded expectations I'd guess. I see on River Avenue Blues that Nova has been put in the pen so I'd guess that Warren is to start. Other than Sevy & Tank the rotation is very shaky. Gonna take some miracles for this team to get there.

Severino vs Archer: this should make for one helluva game, and I hope its not a disappointment, ......

They only lead off the first inning....OMG I sound like Ron.

Bird is earning His Keep...........

Who's this guy Tex, I keep hearing about.......???

nice to see an early lead, would have been nice if we had another... big test here for serevino, put some pressure on tanaka for oct.6th

I love Severino's demeanor and discipline on the mound. Nothing yet, I've seen has rattled Him....

I hope this kid turns out to be all he's been billed for, its nice to have a SP who's worked His way from the ground up, and may he hang around for years to come, (as long as He can, remain successful; continue to win, and stay healthy of course)....

I agree Rob, this kid pitches like a seasoned veteran, nothing seems to rattle him.
