...as bad as he was last year, he's made the most of his playing time so far this year, but he's still a backup at this point...still hoping that Cashman finds a way to make a trade that results in a front end starter joining the rotation by the trade deadline.

I have to do some digging and see what guys are on likely bad teams and in the last year of their contracts. Those are usually the late season pitching rentals that would be available.
