Game Thread Yankees vs. Diamondbacks Tuesday 7/30/19, 7:05 pm

This Diamondbacks Team just lost two to the Marlins, should be like taking candy from a baby, ah shiy, just remembered that the Diamondbacks took two straight from the Yankees in April/May. Hold that candy from a baby bit, Happ is pitching tonight.

With the Yankees’ rotation in tatters & overused relief corp being stretched to its limits, the team
still prevails. It’s time for some payback for these D-backs. So let’s get it done.

Tomorrow's game should be (s/b) a gut check vs Greinke, whose quietly putting together another solid year. His SO/W ratio is nasty....
Imagine if Greinke wouldn't of sold out for that FAT Contract and stayed with the Bums.
Greinke's rationale for going to AZ was/is total bullshit....

Been monitoring MLB Network since 19 AM Eastern now at the four hour mark. Per Joel Sherman there ain't much out there for the Yankees at the the 25 plus hours remaining. Also heard a report that the Astros and Giants are talking on Bumgarner. If they (Astroa) acquire Bumgarner or Bauer and the like and the Yankees can't counter aint going to be looking good come post season time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was having Teixeira for the 09 Season worth giving up Trout???

Here's a piece of trivia.

Trout over the last 3 seasons, (age 25-27) has posted a 1.085 OPS.
Only 7 players in MLB History have fared better, in their age 25-27 yrs.
1- Babe Ruth 1.294
2- Roger Hornsby 1.126
3- Jimmie Foxx 1.118
4- Hank Greenberg 1.112
5- Lou Gehrig. 1.109
6- Frank Thomas 1.094
7- Todd Helton 1.087
8- Trout. 1.085

There's and old Country Tune by Carl Smith with a line " I overlooked and Orchid, while searching for a rose". I never cared for Tex, too many days riding the sick books, would not adjust his hitting. I'll bet Mr. Cashman can shred some light on that one.

Again no LeMahieu, I wonder if he's 100% or nursing a nagging something...???

I wonder what BaBoone's saying to pump up the boys after a daze of rest. ???
I bet that was one quiet trip on the way back from Boston.

I am still stunned. - I know get over it; water under the bridge.
Like pretending you weren't run over by a car or train, just fo-get-bout-it, shit happens.

I feel like I just slept off a brutal thugging from last weekend, or woke up from a trainwreck and imagined the Yanx got beat worse than they've ever been beat in the History of their storied rivalry, and the onslaught continued for 3 days. Damn, I'm glad it was only a dream. I can handle that.

They said about 5 days ago he had a groin strain.

Thanks, I thought I had heard he strained something the other day, but wasn't sure what, I should of looked it up, yet knew info would come here quicker. It's hell getting old-errrr...

Best to shelve LaMahieu so he'll be available for the Boston Series.

Definitely....^^^^

I was hoping to see how DJ was going to handle Grienke.

BaBoone needs to start pulling rabbits out of his ass come the Bronx hunting of Redcoats ....
Like asking a 10 yr old to take the controls of a 747. But he does have the experience. He's played "Flight Simulator" on his PC and logged 1,000's of hours....

BaBoone and Staff should ask to be fired.

Jesus Christ when is this shit going to stop? Bet the Boo Birds are out early tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked this game on the TV, set the auto-tuning early this morning to automatically change channels.

I checked an hour ago, noticed this game was no longer on the online directory, and was pre-empted; replaced with another great old rivalry, the Cubs vs Cardinals.
Not what I had in mind, and not gonna' sit through Gameday/cast to suffer.

Goldschmidt finally caught afire.
From July 22 to July 28, Goldschmidt slugged six home runs (all in consecutive games), drove in 13 runs and had an average of .345 with a 1.353 OPS.

On with the Endwell, NY 2016 Little Lg World Series...

I am following this game on ESPN Gamecast. Reading the side car on the right hand side of game action it shows Boners reply when asked what might happen if the Yankees make no moves. What a bunch of bullshit that man put out. Creative Staff my ass, the starters can't get out of their own way and we all saw prima bull pen guys Britton & Chapman damn near throw away game 4 to Boston. Isn't a pathological liar one who believes his own lies ???????????

And here come the wheels falling off. Seriously. Fuck questioning Cashman about a trade, question him about why the fuck Rothschild still has a job.

Can we trade Happ with some pieces for a starter??? Seriously. Once again, more proof of why we should have signed Keuchel. Allows you to trade Happ or Paxton for a starter, and that starter you trade for doesn’t need to be an ace just a 3-4. Instead now we need an ace and everyone wants top billing, ie Garcia, Frazier, Florial and more.

Yes, then there is the definition of insanity: " doing the same thing over and over endlessly and expecting different results " ...

This date in Yankees history

July 30, 2011: The Yankees scored a franchise record 12 first-inning runs in a 17-3 win vs. Baltimore, sending 16 men to the plate. Future Yankee Zack Britton started and recorded only one out, charged with nine runs (six earned).
