Montgomery vs. Bundy

Lineups to follow...

Tough assignment this evening. Yankees need to turn that 4-5 record around .

Yankees pushing back Tanaka's start from Sunday vs Orioles to Monday vs Angels. Yankee people
feel Tanaka will fare better against lighter hitting Angels. I say hogwash! Pampering this guy on the
major league level is total nonsense. If there is concern, Cashman should let Tanaka work out his
problems in Scranton. Personally, Tanaka's problems will persist. He's become a headcase, and those
problems just do not disappear!

...CC went from the dog house to the penthouse...so maybe Tanaka can somehow figure his problems....but I checked and my magic 8-ball says "Ask again later".

Hey, team. Let's get JMo some runs to work (with). Go Yankees!

Gardner -LF
Hicks -CF
Judge -RF
Holliday-DH
Castro -2B
Sanchez -DH
Gregorious -SS
Headley -3B
Romine -C

In the book "Balls" Graig Nettles made the profound statement that "on any given day one major league team could beat another. Tanka need to pitch according to rotation order instead of being a spoiled little guppy. If he can't solve his "problem" continue his dose or recent humility in the minor leagues. Heard there's a kid named Chance Adams down there who's pitching pretty well, Lets bring him up for a cup of coffee and see what happens. Make these guys play for their jobs,

My Computer is messed up tonight for some reason, I will post when I can.

...2 DHs?...I assume that Holliday is playing 1B and Sanchez is DHing?

Come on guys, 3 hits through five innings! That won't do. Let's get some more for runs!

Falling into bad habits................0 for 6 with RISP! Details, details, details ........it's all in
the details.

Damn nice job by Jmo thus far, where the hell is the offense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hicks seals the deal! He is on fuego!

Hicks is doing everything what Yankees thought Ellsbury would do!
Ellsbury getting hurt was best thing for the Yankees & Hicks!

Hicks has earned his pinstripes fair and square. The Yankees have a legit centerfielder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clippard' days are numbered. Very fortunate Hicks is the center fielder!

We miss you Lillie. Hurry back !

Ellsbury should be very embarrassed that he signed a 7 year what 150 mil deal, and is getting his ass kicked by Hicks. I say he should be but is probably not. I once heard Girardi omment on Hicks that aking to the Red Sox not giving up on Bradley the Yankees were not giving up on Hicks. Looks like Girardi made the right call.

Damn fine job by Jmo this evening. Yeah the Orioles were hitting Clippard hard. Hicks made an outstanding play on that Adam Jones fly ball.

^^^^Ellsbury will never be embarrassed with his signing. Cashman is the one who should be
embarrassed & ridiculed for the Ellsbury signing!

^^^this...thought Ells' contract is an albatross for the Yanx, Cashman was the one who made the inflated offer and Ellsbury would have been foolish not to take it...Cashman's offer to Ellsbury was simply a knee jerk reaction by Cashman after Cano said no to the 7 year/$170 Mil offer from the Yanx...Cano said he felt the Yanx "disrespected" him with such an offer and then later said "it wasn't about the money"... sure Robbie, if you say so.

...still does not change the fact that Ellsbury has been a huge disappointment...and oh, btw, fuck Cano.

...first time in over a month that the Yanx have won more than 2 games in a row...with the schedule favoring the Yanx over the next 3 weeks, they have a good chance to distance themselves from the rest of the division.

Cash was wrong about Ellsbury, but he did pull the trigger on Hicks and took a lot of shit for it last year too, Just goes to show that the GM job isn't science and thankless at that.

Weird events on those '14 moves. Yankees get Beltran, McCann, Tanaka, and Ellsbury after Cano

Weird results on those '14 events, Cano leaves, enter Ellsbury, Beltran, McCann, and Tanaka. I remember posting here who needs Cano look at what came in. Unfortunately the end results of placing those individuals with some incumbent prima donnas did not work out as Yankees Fans had hoped. The '15 team blew a 7 game lead was swept in their own yard by Toronto prompting Tex to make his "bump in the road" comment. Beltran and McCann played on the Yankee Team that lost the one & done playoff game to Houston in '15. Both now are helping at this time to get the Astros to a Division Champ. Yankees made out better with what those two brought back when traded. Ellsbury has never lived up to what the team thought he could do. Contract or no contract, I'd let Ellbury sit as long as Hicks keeps on keeping on. Don't know what got into Tanaka, supposed "ace' now getting out pitched by the old man of the staff. The broadcast crews say Tanka is now facing failure for the first time in his career let him straighten up in the minors because as shaky as the pen is they can't send him out every 5th day. So they skipped his Baltimore start so he could face the "light hitting" Angels. Those Angels kicked the shit out of the Astros last night so we'll see how that works.

Let's pamper Tanka all the way! Pitch him every 6th day. I doubt this will help. Yankees
gambled with Jordan Montgomery. Why not do it again with Chance Adams? Let Tanka
work out his problem in Scranton. Yankees probably won't bring Adams up. They will
likely pitch Chad Green or Bryan Mitchell this Sunday. Also, hearing that Tommy Layne,
Boston reject, may be moved out.

Also, a note about pitching Tanka against a "light hitting" team..........a pitcher having
problems will usually make 'light hitting' teams become powerhouses. Besides, you can be
sure the Angels will be chomping at the bit come Monday's game. Good luck, Tanka.

Yankee manager & GM have literally placed Tanka right into the frying pan!

...I think I read somewhere that Girardi was asked about Ellsbury returning and he indicated that he has already decided that Hicks will stay in the line up...not sure if that means as an OFer of DH.
