God, I hate Sonny Gray. He is a piece of shit on a short stick. Team is always playing from behind with
this SOB. Get his ass outta here, and I mean on this team. Not worthy of pinstripes. What good is he if
he cannot pitch well at Yankee Stadium? This guy folds in the face of pressure. Cashman must be proud
by obtaining him. Schmuck!

Amazing how bad Gray is this year.

It’s as if the Yankees never showed up! Boone displayed the bad excuse of pitchers who make
opponents look like champions! What an ugly display and he achieved this on national TV!
Ya think he drove home his point? What traipsed out there this evening was
unadulterated shit.

This team has gone from the last to be shut out to now being shut out 4 times. The Yankees tonight were like the 16 year old boy and his pregnant girl friend, beat before they started. I sure hated it when Boone was named manager of this club. Other than Girardi the only two other persons I thought qualified to mange this team was Showalter or Francona. Both were employed, Girardi was outed and Boone was the end result. Bad gig for certain. I did notice Dombrowski was in the park watching his team, making observations, possibly plotting moves. I do not remember seeing Cashman, wonder where he was!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Game Recap-

Sonny fkng Gray, what more can one say (shaking head)

Gallegos fku2
Shreve finds his calling as a mop up loser...

2 fkng hits...

"The game was a microcosm of what I've been saying about the Yanx' chances in the post season, because of the need for more dominant starting pitching and the "homer happy" approach at the plate by Yankee batters.

...having Seve is fine, well, for the first game. But what if that first game is the one game playoff WC game? The Yanx would then have to travel to a another city to face a rested opponent. Who would the Yanx pitch in game 1 of that series?...CC?...Tanaka? Severino would likely not be ready to pitch again until game 3. Having to face Boston's or Houston's top 2 pitchers twice in a series does not bode well for Yankee success in the PS.
...as far as the Yankee hitters approach, swinging for the fences, even when facing a 2 strike count may work sometimes vs mediocre pitching from mediocre teams. But as we saw last night and many other times this season, the Yanx's "swinging from the heels" hitting mentality is embarrassingly exposed vs top notch pitching.

...for the umpteenth time, the Yanx need another Ace or solid #2...and the Yanx batters need to change their 2 strike hitting approach."

Totally unreal, the Rays are on the verge of taking 3/4 from the vaunted Astros Pitching Staff. Morton is behind Snell 2-1 bottom 8. As my old buddy Graig Nettles once wrote on any given day one major league team can beat another. 8 of 9 with the Yankees, Nats and Houston.

Wow unreal. I saw the 11-0 clubbing of TB vs t/Nats. (Game 1 day after TB's 7-6 12 inning win vs t/Yanx).

What gives in TB the last few weeks???
