<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Well I just finished watching the Chinese national team got an absolute lesson in how to play hard and compete. The Aussies competed on every possesion and made the Chinese national team look like a junior high team. Outside of Yao, China had few players who competed. The biggest culprit being Yi. This guy has no heart. He hardly did anything all game. Scored 0 points and hardly took a shot. Outside of a few rebound, he practically did nothing. At this rate he'll be lucky to crack the Nets rotation next season. I just don't really know what's wrong with the guy but he is just not even competing out on the court. Perhaps it's stage freight of the Olympic games being so close? I don't know. Right now CNT are on target to loose by 100+ points to team USA on opening night.</div>
Yi's performance is disturbing and will need to be looked into by the Nets organization. But in
Yi's defense as pointed out by someone on the Yao forum, the CNT only had 10 hours rest from the previous game yesterday. Not much else positive here.

What defense?
Seriously, though, if Yi still has conditioning issues (which is entirely strange, since he's barely played in the offseason), then we have some real problems here.
I really doubt it's that, though, and am chalking it up to either lack of interest (still bad), the Chinese coach saving him for the actual Olympics (doesn't make much sense, though), the offense being run mainly through Yao (and whoever that 2nd option is, Wang?), Yi simply sucking (entirely possible), or the Chinese guards still being at fault...although, I can't see how that's really all that possible.
