I love Vue! I've had it for a couple months now and it's really good. They finally got CSNNW added to my lineup so I can finally watch the games! I was getting tired of watching crappy online streams.

Viva La Piracy. Vue and Sling are just cable bundles with a different distribution method.

Congrats, you're one of 7 people nationwide that still watch MTV.

If someone has kids then Nickelodeon is a big deal. I personally don't have the package at all because I don't have a local zip code or IP so I don't believe I would get CSN.

Some of that can be replaced for free with Crackle.

Crackle probably has almost as many movies as Netflix does now. I heard something like Netflix has under 1000 movies in their catalog now. They lose more movies each month then they add. They have a shitton of TV shows though. It seems like it is 90% of their catalog now.

Fuck. Thats almost a deal breaker for me. Oh well, guess ill stay with comcast :D

I'm trying Vue next week. I hear we don't get locals though. I'm thinking Amazon Fire stick or Fire TV. Any suggestions?

I currently have xfinity internet at 25mbps.

Crappy internet streams are really tough to watch, and I can reduce my Dish network enough to pay for Vue, getting all the games and some new channels/movies seems like a no brainer to me.

@HCP didn't you order it? Sounded like your family was in a similar situation as mine.

I just got finished with my trail of Vue using the Firestick and the quality is great. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to cancel the Vue payment before it hit my bank account so I got charged. I will use it for the rest of the 30 days and see if I like it. The great thing about the Firestick, if your tech savvy, is that you can sideload a pretty cool app on it to watch pretty much whatever you want. Might not be worth the hassle if you already have Dish though.

Do you guys get local channels live up there like ABC/NBC on Vue? We don't down here, of course.

Would Vue give me access to Blazers game from California? What's the cost? How would I do this? I have a PS4.

You should be able to put your zip code in somewhere on the Playstation site to see what channels you get, I live on the Cali-Oregon border and get it, but idk how far south that's the case.

What kind of tv packages are you guys getting? Jeez. Save $100 a month by canceling directv?

I cant afford not to have comcast. $80/month not including taxes for 75 mbps internet, cable, streampix, hbo. Internet alone was gonna be like $60/month.

My wife just got a call from Comcast and they gave us 200mbps, cable, streampix, and HBO $80/month. Looks like that is their basic "ooh you drive a hard bargain" deal now :)

Question: the rep said I could watch the Blazers on Streampix; is that confirmed?

Did y'all already have service? Is that introductory rate?

I've had Frontier FIOS for years, which has let me watch the Blazers games. I also travel a lot and use the HBO GO, Sho Anytime, FX Now, etc. to keep up with my premium cable shows when I'm away from home.

Does Sony View provide that same level of portability, or is tied to a specific IP address? I have a ChromeCast and would take that with me when I travel if it would allow me to watch all my channels/apps on the road.

It has portability.

It has portability.

Thanks. I spend quite a bit of time in another state, and we don't have cable there, just internet. Between Netflix, HBO GO, Sho Anytime, etc. that's more than enough. I just don't want to have to pay for two accounts when I can't be two places at once. I want my content to follow me, not be locked into a specific location. That's such a 90s mindset/business model.
