Religion You gotta hand it to Gillette, I don't think I've ever seen so many downvotes on a Youtube video

You and Cippy are the problem. Be better doesn't mean "be a little pussy" - be better doesn't mean "telling us how to act"

You guys are really sensitive and soft though. That is clear.
Shit, I think I handle my relationships with women well. Currently am in one and have been for 7 years. Guess that's my toxic masculinity for you though

It doesn't mean that, but that will be the end result.
I don't see it that way.

A little bit of personal experience here. I used to run with a group of guys that were the definition of toxic masculinity. It's been years since I've hung out with them and looking back, I wish I had moments of clarity and courage to tell them to fucking stop being such assholes to women. I have changed. I see that now. When I watch that Gillette commercial, I see an opportunity missed on my end to have been a better person and to stand up for what was right at the time. That does not make me a pussy or a cuck. And in no way do I feel the ad is telling me HOW to behave. It tells me it's ok to stand up for what's right and not subscribe to the heard mentality. How this is negative is totally beyond me.

Because it makes men seem like perverts, creeps, rapists, sexual harassers as the default setting. As if this kind of behavior is standard for all men, when most men are honorable and normal. Especially older dads at a BBQ. I mean, really? These are the people who are enabling women getting raped and harassed? Fuck that, its a very small percentage of men who are serious sexual deviants and they aren't being shown in this ad.

Guys are assholes to women? Great.
Women are cunts to men.

Same thing. Its a push and pull dynamic. Don't act like the bad behavior isn't on both sides of the coin.

And in the ad, some girl was walking by and some guy was attracted to her and wanted to talk to her? That's bad behavior? The black guy comes in and says "no bro, you can't do that"? Are they fucking serious?

Or maybe it means men shouldn't be doing those activities, and that we should be applauding men who don't?

Think about what kind of guy a girl would think is "creepy".

The edgy bad boy or the quiet, respectful nice guy.

Its always the nice guy who ends up being the creeper. They just have some weird, bad energy to them and they end up being the perverts because they suppress their primal urges.

Hitting on women is bad?

Since you know that is not what was being implied there, I'm not sure why you are wasting my time and your time with this act you're putting on. Don't you ever get tired of playing the role of El Presidente?

Its in the ad as bad behavior.

ITS REAL GOD DAMN IT

DONT YOU FUCKING MANSPLAIN HIM

Yeah, it's implying he's going to cat call. That's kind of the whole point of the ad, that guys (white, black, asian, whatever the fuck) don't exactly realize how their behavior comes off as creepy or smarmy.

Especially the guys who go out of their way to defend this behavior on a message board....while claiming they don't take sides.

The most effective pick up line I ever used worked like a charm. "Hi! I'm Riverman!"

I've tried "Hi, my name is SlyPokerDog.." and before I can say anything else, it's mace straight to the face!

WHERE IS THE AD TALKING ABOUT THAT, GILLETTE!?

Cat call? He looked like he was going to walk up to talk to her.

Damn son, look at this guy throwing shade this way.

FEELSBADMAN

Anyone who thinks that corporate moralizing and pandering is genuine is pretty naive. It's a dumb ad campaign for a number of reasons.

And anyone who actually thinks rape or harassment is okay is an idiot that is way too far gone to have a constructive conversation with.
