Matthews aint signing for the minimum, and you actually think Hood is going to make more than the MLE?Open up the Full MLE, i expect Curry, Hood and Kanter gone, so Matthews would sign the Minimum and Temple and Carroll the MLE
Who knows? He signed his huge contract 4 years ago, maybe money isn't the priority anymore?. And yes, Hood showed how valuable he can be in the right Team, A wing who can score from anywhere and plays Defense, thats exactly the Player you want, i think one Team will give him something like 35-40/4Matthews aint signing for the minimum, and you actually think Hood is going to make more than the MLE?
I think you're underestimating the fact that Neil drafted Aminu.I think Aminu is going to walk. The situation kind of reminds me of Ed Davis last year. I know the whole team sucked, but Davis really did not play well in the playoffs and his inability to be a threat from anywhere offensively was exposed. Many still figured he would be brought back.
Aminu is in a similar situation now. He had a solid season, but was exposed in the playoffs, mainly by Millsap in the Denver series. His inconsistent offensive contribution also reared its head again. I’m not even sure he should be brought back on the cheap anymore. I think it’s in the teams best interest to find a four with more size and/or a more versatile/consistent offensive skill set.
I’m also maintaining that Hood, Kanter, and Curry will all leave. Don’t think we’ll afford the first two, and Curry is going to get more minutes elsewhere.
So if this all plays out, Olshey will have four rotation players to replace. I know we have Simons to potentially replace Curry, but I’m not sure they go into next season depending on him. He’s still young and more importantly, inexperienced.
Why would anything happening in May have a bearing on free agency in July?I dont have Instagram, but if it's true i think Evan Turner is gone. MCW is probably a little upgrade over Turner. I could interpret too much into it, maybe i'm totaly wrong who knows, but it sounds realistic

Money is a priority for everyone, and if it isn't, then he'd do something like go to New York to be their starting SG if they land Kyrie and KD.Who knows? You're reading far too much into it. MCW is worse than Turner. He's awful. If he's in our rotation next year I'll lose my mind.I dont have Instagram, but if it's true i think Evan Turner is gone. MCW and Dame are boys. They're always discussing boxing, etc on twitter. But this is interesting.I dont have Instagram, but if it's true i think Evan Turner is gone. We all know that isn't true.Because agents dont start negotiations in July.
We all know that isn't true.
But MCW is terrible. He's worse than ET.
Defense is much worse.PER: 13.7 vs 12.0
VORP: 2.7 vs 0.1
Assist %: 29.0 vs 19.8
Idk MCW looks better on paper.

He averaged 7 pts on 37% shooting and 13% from 3, with a 3/2 ast/to ratio. He has shot < 40% from the field the past 4 seasons. He's trash. So is Evan -- i don't want either on our teamI thought MCW was pretty solid for Orlando against Toronto, in game 1 he was even pretty good. I mean, we all know what we get from Evan, stupid bad midrange shots, turnovers, bad passes, overall negative player for the Blazers, why not give MCW a shot if we cant get a better in free Agency? I doubt he's worse than Turner
Defense is much worse.
Let’s be real MCW is exactly the type of player Olshey loves to acquire. Lottery pick that hasn’t panned out. But not panning out sometimes has more to do with circumstance. Not saying MCW hasn’t had opportunities, but has he ever been around a winning (aka healthy) culture? He would also cost nothing.
Me too. I want them to clear time for Anfernee to go take his lumps so to speak. I don't want him to get hurt, or injured. Just to go out there and get experience, hopefully, he gets some rope to make mistakes without having his playing time cut dramatically. Will he ever be able to shoot? This is the biggest problem. Since we know he may never be a consistent shooter...
I'd rather get Ant some time.

If by picks, they mean NOP's picks coming back to us, then I'd listen. (And yes, I know that's not what they mean.) Otherwise, I say "fuck outta here!".So, Bleacher Report [insert usual laughs] proposed AD for CJ and Nurkic, plus picks. Not sure replacing Nurkic and CJ with AD gets you deeper in the playoffs. Curious of others thoughts. I guess the thought is you would pair Dame with AD and Collins and fill in the rest. I like Collins, but would almost rather pair Dame with AD and Nurkic and trade Collins. Just not sure Dame, AD, Collins, Harkless, Ant/Hood/? is enough.
I guess that would be a heck of a perimeter defensive team.

I'm slowly talking myself into this one. I love the way Nurk and Dame work together, but if there was a way to run a lineup of Dame, Hood, Harkless, AD and Collins, that lineup would be fun to watch on the defensive end.

If you take it seriously, it also means Hood is signing with us.You're reading far too much into it. MCW is worse than Turner. He's awful. If he's in our rotation next year I'll lose my mind.
