I won't bother anymore any knowledgable fan knows this indisputable fact that Ben Simmons is All-Planet perimeter defender and easily better than Smart (I do like Jrue to be fair). Heard someone on the radio last night claiming it was Jrue Holiday. I'm sure the day before someone was saying it was Patrick Beverly. Hell, Simmons might not even be the best perimeter defender on his own team, considering that Matisse Thybulle is already making all defensive teams as a second-year reserve.

But yeah, I'd vote for Simmons.

Maybe if Jrue Holiday was about 5 inches taller and 25lbs heavier. Unfortunately “perimeter defender” includes defending people like Durant, LeBron, Giannis to a certain extent, Doncic, Kawhi, Tatum, PG, etc.

Giannis and Kawhi are two others I'd put over Ben. Ben gets blown by a bit too much for my liking. Luckily he has the 2nd best rim protector in the league to help cover for him whenever that happens. I value guys that can stay in front more if we're talking about defending the perimeter specifically (a difference conversation than overall defense, DPOY, etc.) If people think he's the best, that's fine too.
