Just know that your opinion regarding the use of the word isn't popular. And just like it might be your "free speech" to say it, I use mine to speak out against it.

He's right that people are fake as fuck. You know I believe in white privilege to a very large degree but you have to know that bazillions of people pretend they do and then talk about lazy black people behind their backs.

I just finished reading a Book titled the Professor and the Mad Man. The subject of the book was the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary.
About how they went about documenting all the nuances of every word in the English language that have come to be through the centuries.

They did not have the purpose though, of defining the meaning to be inferred by the age of the user.

Can't think of any other word that have been hijacked and a new meaning attached. The hijacking also prohibits using the word in it's historical meaning, with firmness of prohibition variable

I think you missed it. He said gay "used to" mean happy, but that it meant "stupid or whatever" in the time when he grew up. He was pretty clear that he wasn't using it to mean happy.

Gay used to mean happy. Fag wasn't even a slur originally. We grew up calling our friends gay and the meaning was entirely different.

I have grown up in the time gay meant stupid or whatever and can tell you we used it and still use it

I really don't think that is what he means, at least I would not infer this meaning.
