Be part of the group of "never say die" Seattle SuperSonics fans who will travel to The Rose Garden in Portland for the nationally televised TrailBlazers vs. Thunder game on Thursday, Nov. 4.

WEAR GREEN AND GOLD TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR BRINGING THE SONICS BACK TO SEATTLE!

The filmmakers behind the acclaimed documentary "Sonicsgate: Requiem For A Team" encourage all Northwest basketball fans to wear Sonics colors at the game to honor... the once proud NBA franchise and show support for bringing a team back to Seattle. The film's producers will be in attendance.

Sonics fans should meet at the Southwest side of the Rose Garden before the game, near the corner of North Hassalo Street and North Larrabee Avenue.

"We know we will never get our team that was robbed from us back, and it hurts to see Kevin Durant become the best young player in the league on an exciting, competitive team that should be playing in Seattle right now," director Jason Reid said. "But as basketball fans living in the best basketball city in the nation, we have to remind both our local elected officials and the league that we supported the NBA in Seattle for 41 years. Bring back our Seattle SuperSonics!"

Current NBA players from the Seattle area include: Brandon Roy, Jason Terry, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Aaron Brooks, Terrence Williams, Spencer Hawes, Jon Brockman, Martell Webster, Marvin Williams and Rodney Stuckey.

WHAT: "Bring Back Our Seattle SuperSonics" Fan Demonstration
WHEN: 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4
WHERE: Rose Garden in Portland, Ore. (National broadcast on TNT)
WHY: Wear green and gold to show support for bringing the Sonics back to Seattle!

About the Filmmakers

The creators of "Sonicsgate" put the revolutionary two-hour documentary online for free, bypassing traditional media channels to spread their message to the widest audience possible. Since the film's online premiere in October 2009, it has collected more than 180,000 online views along with 15 theatrical screenings in Seattle, Portland, New York and a special selection for the Park City Film Music Festival in Utah. Winner of "Best Sports Film" at the 14th Annual Webby Awards. Named "The Most Persuasive Grassroots Flick of 2009" by Sports Illustrated. More information including the full HD film is available at www.sonicsgate.org.

I hope a lot of anti-Thunder signs from sonics fans get on TV!

I'll try to sneak one on TNT tonight FAMS!

I don't care what they wear, as long as they root for the home team.

I hope there are so many Blazers fans there that fans of other teams--Thunder, Sonics or Lakers--can't get in!

"Sonicsgate: Requiem For A Team"

Have these people actually watched Requiem For a Dream? It's not exactly a let's-get-fired-up flick, to say the least.

Did they not get the memo that the Blazers are aiming to be a regional team where we shove the Blazers down their throats like they do with the Mariners and Seahawks in Portland?

:devilwink:

Resistance is futile.

It's about time we gave it back to them.
