I loved the rookies all week, but I really jumped on the Brook Lopez bandwagon. His defense can improve, but his offense looked pretty crisp. I saw him on some pick & rolls, face-up jumpers, and just backing down. I liked CDR and Anderson as well, but Brook's offensive game really surprised me.

The thing I'm happy about this year is that although we might struggle, we know where we are since we're rebuilding. Last year, we were struggling and were not headed anywhere. And I expect a bad year because we have a lot of young people, but who knows? Maybe we can be the Rays of the NBA.

Listen, I like Carroll's play, but remember this is just SL. Summer league success does not translate to NBA success. I still recomend the Nets inviting him to camp, and then see how he fairs against the other NBA players. Try him out in a couple of preseason games, but keeping him on the roster...

If Carroll continues his play, he deserves an invitation to camp, but I highly doubt that he will make the team. I mean, he's been dominating D-leagures people. Come on. But I would not mind an invite to camp.

True, he will be a veteran that will be a mentor, but Carter is the main one because he is the superstar who can lead by example and he has been a Net for some time.

Josh Smith is a good player. But a question I have is that when/if we get LeBron, who is going to play what? They are both 3s, not 2s.

Anybody know the status on House? Does he not want to play for a rebuilding team, or is his contract demands too high? I know he played for the Nets 2 years ago, but House is one of the players that I admire most and he would be a great addition to this team. Again, I don't know what his status is.
