No, Olshey needs to learn. Leonard on the roster is his punishment.

The city of Portland should make Leonard be Olshey's parking valet anywhere Olshey goes.

Maybe it should be the other way around. NeO needs to understand not to draft players like Meyers and for the love of basketball, don't re-sign them.

Meyers is extremely likable person, Im sure of it.

With that said, we just need more production out of that roster spot. Its as black and white as that. Sorry Meyers. Its business. You need to go.
I dont buy the injury trhing either. He has been in the league four years now and has not shown any significant improvement in any part of the game. None of it.

Well, I just thought solving Olshey's biggest issue with Portland with a constant reminder of one of his worst decisions was appropriate.

Neil paid this dude $40 mil when he was coming off of surgery and is mentally fragile as is. I can't decide which move was worse, this, ET, or AC.

Meyers takes away any joy I get from watching bball.

Is he the worst rotation player in the league? If we're stuck with him again next season I really hope they draft and/or trade for some big men to take his minutes so he becomes a benchwarmer and doesn't play at all.

There's a new salary cap. Conley is the highest paid player ever and we all know he isn't overpaid, Conley is a great player, it's just that the market has changed.
Next year these contracts wouldn't look so bad. People are stressing about these contracts and it isn't the right attitude.
Is Meyers a perfect player? I used to be his biggest critic and playing him out of position at Center and now as maybe our first Center isn't ideal.
But, Meyers, as frustrating as he is sometimes, tries hard every time, he gives us things not many players have and his deficiencies in defensive awareness have been dialed down and can be worked on further by coaching.
And the most important thing, you say he lacks confidence, but almost 100% of the posters here give him a hard time.
Now I will say again, I was Meyers biggest critic, I said some really bad things about him but right now we need him with the highest confidence level playing his best basketball. We're down 2-0 in the playoffs, what happens with him in the off-season is right now irrelevant. We need Meyers to have a good game on Saturday, we NEED Meyers to have a good game on Saturday, not just Meyers but also Meyers, so lay off him, he's been the forum's punching bag the entire season, and rally behind him, root for him and cheer him. Because that's also part of being a fan, not just voicing your undisputed frustration but also realising it's money time and even if Meyers isn't perfect, he's our player and we Need him to do well right now

The NBA revised their salary cap projections down over the next 2 seasons. There will be nothing close to the huge explosion in cap we saw last summer.

Meyers, Crabbe and Turner will be bad deals for the foreseeable future.

Ive heard that in three years time it might drop back some to be close to where it is now.

The look Meyers had on his face on the bench when Collins and Pasch basically called him an overpaid scrub was classic.

WE RE-SIGNED HIM

Meyers is one of the few players I've seen, where he really doesn't even look like he belongs on the court. He looks like he's panicing internally all the time. That little shuffle he does with his feet as a player blows past him on defense is embarassing. Even on offense, he'll get the ball and be like "should I shoot it should i shoot it, oh no a guy is coming at me.."

It's got to suck for Meyers. There isn't a Portland fan who likes him or thinks he is worth a damn anymore. Wait, he's making $40 million...nevermind

He's not instinctive. Everything he does, he has to think through like a word problem. That's way too slow for the speed of NBA games.

He has tools, he just doesn't have the internal wiring for the game.

Meyers ($10m/per) was outplayed JaVale (NBA minimum) in this series - even in a small sample size this is unacceptable.

He's looking like the worst signing in Blazer history.

11th pick in the draft. That is still baffling to me. Utterly baffling.
