Meyers Leonard + Cle pick for Kyle O'Quinn and Lance Thomas.

Only thing keeping me from doing it would be Kyle's team option for 18-19. Also kinda like our chances to find a piece with that first but not sure a future first would be enough to unload meyers.

Meyers isn't going anywhere for 3 more years

I'd

If the knicks really want to be bad, I think this a pretty good trade for them.

If Jackson trades for him, he should be fired, and the trade rescinded by the NBA

He's gonna play like shot for 2 more years, then the final year of his contract play at all star level, then walk away and sign elsewhere. He got paid, he has nothing to prove till then

Yes, it was stupidity.

Not really. It's easy to say this in hindsight, but look at his numbers before this season. One of the best shooting 7 footers in the league. 24 years old. That's worth an 8th players salary. It was one of the few moves that Neil missed on. Get over it.

Has nothing to do with hindsight. I always thought of Meyers as a terrible player especially on defense.

Bench players have weaknessess. That's why they're bench players. That's why they make $10 million. But they also do valuable things. A center forcing another center out of the paint is one of them.

someone please remind me again why he was re-signed?

does anyone even know besides Neil?

he's about as close to a 'Subtraction by Addition' player as there has ever been in the history of this franchise, league and universe.

and, nothing makes me dislike him more than listening to him being interviewed and his belief in himself.

fuck
him

That idiotic puff piece video he made soured me on him forever.

Sadly Meyers is the same player he was as a rookie.... slow mechanics and very little court awareness. When the play comes to him in a proper set, he can be productive. But when the game is moving anything faster than a snails pace he gets lost or out of position or just camps out on the 3pt line to shoot his oh so slow release. Hopefully someone will think they can fix him, phx anyone please

Man he's even worse now than he was back then. He played with an edge his rookie season. I still remember that jam he had against Andre Miller.

Neil re-signed him because he couldn't admit he drafted a bust with that pick, luckily outside of some unknown 2nd rounders like Draymond, Middleton and Crowder that most teams passed on in the first round I don't see any amazing player taken right after him.

It's a shame he couldn't admit this last summer and now we're either stuck with him for a number of years, or we'll probably have to give up an asset to dump him when he should probably be playing in China or Turkey right now.

I think he's a bigger bust than Oden ever was. At least Oden had an excuse for an early career, and he knew how to play basketball.

Oden has the stigma of being the number one pick, and all of those guys taken after him, but I will certainly agree he was a much, much better basketball player than Myers when he was healthy.

Blue sky thinking for Meyers self-biggie-ups video

Built To Rebound....... nope
Built To Block.... nope
Built To Defend.... nope
Built To Disappoint... yes, but
Built To DeMeyersvational..... yes, but
Built To Annoy A Fanbase..... yes, but

Built To Rise.... seems legit.

yes, we have a new word

DeMeyersvational

the process where you are so sigh/ugh worthy that the mere thought of the notion is enough to stop you mid thought.

That's a repulsive thought, but I think you're 100% correct on that one. It's gotten to the point where no one is gonna take Butters, unless we package Dame or CJ with him....

(yeah, that's an exaggeration, but not much of one...)

Meyers is going exactly where his game is. Nowhere.

It's painful to think that his biggest use in the next 3yrs will be as an expiring contract.
