I think we should have multiple awards. "Win now team" and "Win future team" are two suggestions. Maybe "Was Isaiah GM of this team?" too.
I strongly concur with Denny.

Now with even more backup center!
C: Yao Ming / Spencer Hawes / Jason Thompson
PF: Rasheed Wallace / Danilo Gallinari
SF: Hedo Turkoglu / Wilson Chandler
SG: Delonte West / Daequan Cook
PG: Mike Conley / DJ Augustin

I thought he was a PF
PG: Gilbert Arenas, Earl Watson, Marcus Williams
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Arenas, Iguodala, Luke Jackson
SF: Andre Iguodala, Brewer, Luke Jackson
PF: David Lee, Nazr Mohammed, Melvin Ely, Big Baby
C: Samuel Dalembert, Nazr Mohammed, Big Baby
I thought he was a PF
Jason Thompson is a center![]()
I think he might be taking Earl Boykins to add EVEN more center depth next lolThe Knicks are talking about putting out a small frontcourt of Chandler, Galinari, and Lee. I assume Lee's the "center" and I've got the other two, so whichever plays the 4 will be my backup there- actually, he'd be Turk's backup there, since Hedo plays some 4. And I didn't watch him in college, but Thompson's listed as a PF/C a few places, never mind the fact I got a lottery pick who impressed in summer league in the 11th round.

Wait......Thompson impressed? Thompson certainly isn't lotto talent either, he was considered a reach, so don't go overboard with a project big since this is a one year thing![]()
Thompson is NOT a project, and I do think he is lotto talent.
For some of us, this isn't a one year thing. There will be some of us discussing our teams in three years
Yeah, everyone will look back @ their teams but the judging is suppose to be for this year from what I understand. It's easy to comeback & say how developed your 11th round rookie is now.
How much have you watched Thompson? He was a great college player but he's not ready to contribute consistently physically yet and still needs to learn alot. He hasn't faced many guys his size or as much talent as he will in the NBA. I know everyone has different opinions, but I want to know why you think he has lottery talent?

Scouts rave about his speed. I love his hands. He mixes it up well around the rim and looks like he'll be an effective player out on the floor. The best rookie power forward of the summer.

Thompson is an immediate upgrade to the Kings' frontline as an athlete. They had the least athletic frontline in the league last year. He's got a nice combination of skills with size and projects as someone who can play well next to Spencer Hawes.
Geoff Petrie likes his offensive sets to include pinch-post action. For that action to work effectively, the big has to be able to make that shot or get to the rim while being a good passer. Both Thompson and Hawes look like they'll be able to do those things.
Making a game-winning shot in an NBA Summer League game, while playing well in general, sends him into the rest of the offseason thinking positive thoughts. The alternative to that would have been scary because he's coming from a lesser-known school in Rider. You don't want him questioning if he can play on this level. That thought is no longer an issue.

If he had gone to a big-name college, he'd be a household name already. He has a nice combination of skill sets, body and hustle. "

Thompson really came through today, making a lot of plays down the stretch and ultimately winning the game by finishing an and-one. He showed very nice touch at the rim today, and didn’t force things nearly as much as he did in his last outing. While he turned the ball over a little too much, he did it within the flow of the game, and it was more because he was well defended than because he was pressing. His ability to get to the line was on full display today, and he’s got the body to be a very imposing physical presence on both ends. He cleaned the glass efficiently and does a good job using his bulk to gain position in the lane. Defensively, he showed great timing coming over from the weak side, but he doesn’t always see drives coming and will get a little too aggressive on the ball at times. "
How many Rider games did you catch? Do you get a lot of them on the west coast?
I saw probably about 7-10 of his games this last year with FSN package cuz they don't blackout college hoops like they do with other sports. I'm a college hoops nut, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about with these younger guys.
PG: Jason Terry/Javaris Crittenton
SG: Kyle Korver/Aaron Afflalo/Devin Brown
SF: Rashard Lewis/Andres Nocioni/Jarvis Hayes
PF: Carlos Boozer/Sean Williams
C: Marcus Camby/Robin Lopez
Roster is done. Please critique.
Was wondering if I should start Afflalo or Brown over Korver and bring Korver off the bench. Any thoughts?
If anyone has a better big three than
G. Wallace, Paul Pierce and Amare please stand up because I looked at all rosters and they are the best big 3 in the league.
My bench is also ridiculous, my team is so over looked
KG, Artest and SJax is better
Wallace is a fantasy stud that doesn't help his team win.
