No but I've gotten the sense that they want a vet PG.

Dragic seems like the best option. He's still young, he's dynamic, and he could be had for a reasonable price. I would love to see us get Lamb without having to pick him up at 6.

So 6 NBA executives asked the same question --- who's the sleeper in this draft... 6 of 6 say Andrew Nicholson

Sullinger also has back problems already: "The one thing NBA teams will want to study intently is Sullinger's medical report, as he's been slowed this season by back spasms caused by an aggravated disc and plantar fasciitis, being forced to sit out two games in December.":

No way would I take a chance.

I would consider it for Okafor, he is grossly overpaid ($13.5\$14.5 mil) but only for 2 more years and he fills a position of need....

Problem is he would eat up all your cap space to go and get a PG in FA, even if you snent N.Smith and S.Williams back.....

Ariza might be a better bet at $7mil, if you could send back Williams and or Smith you would still have $8-9mil to sign a FA....
I would go for Okafor over Ariza (if Okafor is healthy); why go after someone we don't need when Okafor fills a big need. We could also throw in Kurt Thomas on that trade which should then leave plenty of cap space to sign Dragic.

Don't think this has been posted yet but Damian Lillard's coach from Weber State is at the Chicago Pre-draft camp. He tells Andy Kats that Portland has been calling him a lot.

Rahe said that Portland, which has the Nos. 6 and 11 picks, has been calling quite often. Utah, which doesn't have a first-round selection, would love to find a way to get involved. Rahe said he has talked to Cleveland, although the Cavaliers already have Kyrie Irving, so selecting Lillard may not make as much sense at No. 4, which is also deemed too high for Lillard to get drafted. Golden State, which has the No. 7 pick, has also called Rahe. That might be a starting point for him, but the latest team that Rahe has heard from is Toronto, which picks at No. 8.

Not sure they would pick him at 6 but if Olshey really wants this kid then they can move up from 11 to get him.

Lillard didn't play well against the better teams he faced (BYU, CAL, ASU, UNLV) and he is going to face far better talent than he did facing those teams....I think POR could do better by going the FA route to address PG...

St. Mary's made it past the 1st round of the tournament and he scored 36 on them. Against BYU he scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds, hardly a bad game. The UNLV and ASU games you're going back to his freshman and sophomore years.

ESPN says Raps are shopping their pick for either Rudy Gay or Iggy. I bet 6 or 11 + pieces could hold similar value. We need to get in on this and the Okafor + 10 salary dump.

I got blasted for this yesterday, but Rudy Gay is the type of up and comer we should go after. Does he have flaws? Yes. Does he have too high of salary? Yes. But he is a baller and have a nice PER of 18. Him, LA, Batum and whatever PG we could sign would make a very nice core to build upon

I'd take Iggy over Gay. Similar impact overall (not scoring, but better D, better playmaking), and a lower salary commitment.

disagree with U here MM, Gay's huge salary is way to high in this new CBA for what he delivers. for what he makes he should be a #1 option, and he is clearly not close to that, he's more like a 3rd option

Meh. Can't really look at Iggy's stats to measure his impact. That's what fans in Philly do and they hate him because he can't put up 20 every night. And he was an all star for the first time this year. He's certainly not coming down.

Alright here it is.

Take on Iggy's contract in a salary dump. 11 + Shawne Williams + Freeland/Claver for Iggy + 15.
Take on Okafor's contract in a salary dump. Wessy for Okafor + 10.
(These would both have to be handshake deals that will be completed after FA starts).

Then package 6 + 15 to CHA for 2. Take TRob.
Then take Lillard with 10.
Then match Nic/JJ's offers.

Then we're left with:
Lillard/Nolan
Iggy/EWill
Nic/Babbitt
LA/TRob
Okafor/Hickson

PG would probably be a concern, but that is a sick roster.

From the combine:

Jay Williams ‏@RealJayWilliams
A lot of the PGs are having a difficult time stopping people defensively in the Isolation drills. Tyshawn Taylor excelled though.

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress
Just landed in Chicago. How's the beauty contest Combine going? Who looked the sexiest dribbling through the cones?

Jay Williams ‏@RealJayWilliams
Tony Wroten has top 10 talent but the hindrance is that he shot 18% from 3pt line & 58% from the FT Line. #GoUnder all screen & rolls.

Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider
SG's NOT doing #NBACombine drills : Bradley Beal, Dion Waiters, Jeremy Lamb, Austin Rivers

They should all be forced to do them

This bugs me so much:

Lamb looks like he just woke up and is coming off a long night of boozing.

Yeah, Ross in the on SG in their top 5 participating. Oh, and Wroten was horrible (as expected) shooting the 3. They kept cutting away, but I'm not sure I saw him hit 1 shot.
