"No man, it's a cigarette."

might have been a bad day, maybe he took too much cough syrup

I think Lamb has talent for sure and know how to play, but I don't think I've ever seen a guy like that as the proverbial "tip of the spear" on a winning team ... I mean can you envision him taking any kind of active leadership role on a team?

No....I would say thay seems unlikely....Not sure that he has to be the leader though

But a guy capable of putting up 15-20pts a night? That is certainly possible....

I do like guys with a killer instinct on the court, Harden is an introverted peculiar guy from all accounts, but on the court...he is cold blooded....Not sure Lamb can be that kind of guy, but it is possible....

He is talented though, and that trumps a lot of this kind of stuff...He'd certainly be on my list, but not at the top....You know you take the BPA, and then you fill those other qualities elsewhere....On a team with LA & Matthews does Lamb have to be the leader? I don't think he does...and who else did you draft sign or trade for that may be able to fill that role?

I'd view him as a potential #3 guy....

I think I'd still take Lamb over Beal. But I'm liking Rivers over both of em.

Hilarious interview.

Yeah, Rivers interview impressed me, smart\confident kid....

I don't mind Rivers either. He's crafty and can ball. I just think he needs size on that frame.

It's not the interviews that influence me. They don't mean much in the grand scheme of things. I care about what he does on the court, and how well he knows his team after he's on it.

This isn't a real JOB interview-- I'm sure a good interview can help a player's stock, but a bad one won't hurt it.

oh boy.

Ford:
Lots of teams buzzing about a Dion Waiters promise. Teams say he's canceled all upcoming workouts. Blazers, Raptors, Suns all suspects

I tend to agree with this. There are probably certain things that can set off a GM one way or the other when interviewing, but for the most part I'm not sure its that big of a factor.

Do you really think guys who interview better are better basketball players? Warriors fans will tell you they'd rather have Stephen Jackson or Monta Ellis than Adonal Foyle or Mike Dunleavy Jr.

Obviously you want smart players, but there's a lot of dumb ass fools who are great at basketball. I've read that much of KG's decision to skip college was because there was concern that he wouldn't be academically eligible to play.

Waiters at 11 is alright by me. I still have to think the Raptors are the cuprits since they are desperate for a SG.

I don't think in a vacuum the interview will make or break the decision but after an interview like that I would take a lot more time doing background on a player to make sure it was an isolated thing. To me it's more of an indicator, for some reason it kind of reminds me of Beasley. He was a horrible interview and I'm sure if you check his background you would see he wasn't exactly the best player to draft at 2.

I would hope the Blazers would start looking at more guys like Lillard who just live in the gym and basketball means everything to them. You know you are going to get their best day in and day out.

The combine is being replayed right now.

I really like Lillard's jumper. A pure shooter that can also attack the rim and finish? Nice combo...

I'm not sure a promise at 15 is enough for you to shut down workouts for other teams. Especially if those work outs could get you even higher. It would have to be a real good jump for a guy to shut it down like that.

Maybe it's apart of the bigger picture: Iggy going to GS for the #7

That Lamb interview wasn't even that bad, lol

It was more hilarious than bad.

So hard to pick one. I like the look of Lillard, though. Strong. Confident. RT @WDDeMoss: @ESPNAndyKatz .Andy Most pleasant surprise today?

Reading about Lamb's interview from everyone on this board, I was expecting much worse. How he interviews is a total non-factor in regards to his stock in this draft or as a player in the NBA.

If he was the one asking the questions then that would be another story.

my source says hometown philly at #15
Trust me, no one wants to actually play for the Sixers. Especially if he can get drafted earlier and get more $. Shitty arena, listless fans, mostly ghettos surrounding the city, and mediocre management.

It better not be us. I'm guessing TOR.

54 pages? Anyone wnat to summerize it into 2-3 tweets?

Watched that Lamb interview. Made me realize I need to get a life.

Here is a kid who is about to make more money than any of us playing a game he has devoted his whole life to, and he can't even name one player on the Blazers team. Give me an NBA team and I can at least name one player. Likely I could name a few and tell you a little about the team . . . I need a life.

Well there ya go.

Quick:
A couple of weeks ago, Blazers director of college scouting Chad Buchanan said the Blazers "never" promise a player they will draft him.

That video posted last night was impressive of him. I think scoring PG's are now "in". Westbrook was being crucified this time last year. No more

I really want this kid in a Blazer uniform. I want him AND a SG. I want a whole new young back court.

Lillard and Ross would be amazing, IMO.
