This is why GMs are afraid of Perry Jones III. Afraid to take him & afraid to pass on him http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/46544/does-motor-matter
At 11, he might be worth the risk. Is he really any worse a gamble than Drummond?
Can we please buy a late first and take wroten
More and more I'm thinking Lillard is the guy (all things considered).
You're going to need scorers to beat OKC, and I'm not convinced Lillard can't be a playmakers for others as well.
Team needs as of right now show Toronto, Detroit maybe and NO as all needing a PG. I'm not sure he would make it to #11, and I'm not sure who is better at #6?The internal struggle I have with taking Lillard at No. 6 is that he could potentially be there at No. 11. I'm not against Lillard at No. 6, but if you're split on picking him or someone else, you have to consider taking the other person, and see if Lillard slides to No. 11. This is why I'm glad I'm not the person making the selections - of course, those guys are more comfortable because they have the book on every potential selection.
But I am certainly interested in Lillard as a Blazer, and would not be disappointed with the pick.
I'd look at MN's pick (Crawford S&T? they have interest) and target Moe Harkless.

IF the Blazers bought a later pick, what about Moultrie?
A couple things:
Leonard > Zeller...Easily.
I'd rather pick up a later pick and take Plumlee over Zeller.

I am hoping Plumlee lands with the Blazers, as well as younger brother Mason, next year

The thing that doesn't make me worry so much about Lillard is he seems to get "it". Seems like a good dude that could be very coachable, and not just a guy that will pout if he's asked to do more than just score (cough Jamal Crawford cough).
I can see your point on trying to get him at 11, but if you like him enough, it's a little risky to take that chance.
The Blazers should take who they have on the top of their board of who's available at #6.
Could be Lillard
Could be Drummond

I agree. I highly doubt Lillard will still be available at #11.
I like Lillards chances at being a big impact player over MKG, Beal, Barnes, or Drummond.
There had been some whispers over the weekend that Lamb, who hadn't worked out for teams since suffering an ankle sprain in Toronto earlier this month had a shoulder issue; his right shoulder had popped out once in high school. But a thorough vetting by the league's doctors, according to a source close to Lamb, gave Lamb the thumbs -- or shoulders -- up. He will have to strengthen the shoulder and keep working at it throughout his career, but he will not require surgery
The injury that doctors have flagged is to his right shooting shoulder and there is concern that it could recur during his career. One team we spoke with said they felt he could slide right out of the lottery and into the teens. We consider Lamb to be the SG prospect with the most long term potential. But this shoulder injury combined with his ankle injury and inability to work out for teams before today (Portland) could cost him on draft night.
-D.AldridgePortland could go in any direction. League sources maintain the Blazers are shopping the second of their two first-rounders, the 11th pick overall, in search of young assets in return. But at six, the Blazers have needs across the board. Lillard would make an awful lot of sense here if he's not taken by Sacramento, but the Blazers, who still need to replace the retired Brandon Roy, might not be able to pass on Waiters.

The more I watch Lillard, the more I think of a prime Gilbert Arenas with more size and less of a bonehead.
Yes, please.
I will be really disappointed if he's available and we take Waiters or Rivers over him.
