Nowitzki is so much sharper than Aldridge. We never execute on fast break layups like that. At halftime, Jason Terry interviewed and was so amped up. I imagined the laid back intellectual Aldridge interviewed in the same situation, staring up at the rafters, worrying about a gentleman's smile.

Anyone see Dallas just call the "elbow" play. Exact same play that killed them when they played Portland. Nice to see a play by Kaleb Caneles being used by a playoff team.

Didn't think that shot was good, lucky bounce to not only go in but take another second off the clock.

I was so happy to see Zach leave, would have liked a little more but was super excited for LA to get those minutes and get out of Randolph's insane contract.

But that was all imaginary.

Rick Carlisle just said about Jason Terry not getting 2nd half points after dominating the 1st, "It's my job to get him looks."

How refreshing, after hearing McMillan post-game comments that his players were at fault, he needs more effort, needs better shooters, blah blah blah.

McMillan lacks talent to change his system. He's one-dimensional. Get a coach who changes his system to fit his players instead of quitting on his team.

This Heat/NYN game is so stupid. The refs are sending Miami to the line every play and a lot of those are not calls you'd regularly see in the regular season yet there getting called in the playoffs. 22-5 FT not even done with the 2nd

This is why sports fans think the NBA is for mouth-breathing WWE fans.

You can quit bitching about Nate, dude... he's not our team's coach anymore.

If I don't keep bitching, we'll get another 1-dimensional coach. The future of the team depends upon my bitching. Don't worry. I won't let you down.

I respect that you probably actually think this. Good on you. Fight the fight, man.

A leader needs to command his followers' respect. I don't appreciate it; I expect it. Tonight we attack. You wiil be advance scout. Go forth a kilometer up the trail, find the enemy, radio us where they are, and Allah be with you.

The Pacers are a fun team to watch. No iso ball, and they move the ball around, play scrappy D. Their lack of a go-to guy inevitably hurt them.

MAgic doesn't know what he's talking about. The Thunder had the same "mismatches" against Dallas last year and they lost in 5 games. The loss of Tyson Chandler and Barea is overrated. The Mavs still have Terry, Kidd, Marion, Dirk, and Haywood. They're the defending champions. Damn, I hope they school the Thunder tonight.

are you serious???? i guarantee you if the mavs could do it all over again they would gladly keep chandler. that dude is a defensive rock plus 11 pts, 10 rebs and 1.4 blocks a game and you think his loss is overrated?

Yes. Mahinmi, Haywood, and Wright collectively get the job done at C. And no, they don't regret it. By design, they were thinking of the future and saving money for DWill and, at the time, Dwight.

wright doesn't play center, so take him out of the equation. mihimi and haywood collectively could barely offer up what chandler gets done by himself, and that's not considering how much better chandler is on the defensive side of the ball. either of those two are nice backups, but neither is a good starting option, where as chandler was a top 10, possibly top 5 center this year.

i get why teams like the blazers look to the future but throwing away a title defense and one more year of dirk near the top of his game for the off chance you get williams and/or howard was a dumb move in my opinion. throwing the present away for a team like dallas for the future is absurd. they had a real shot at defending that title and they threw it away on the "chance" that they get williams. i think if they had it to do all over again, they hold on to chandler and pass on odom but hindsight is 20/20.

Man, I've missed watching this Timmy over the last few years. Nice to see him work Big Al like this.

Wrong. Haywood/Mahinimi/Wright is their "three headed center." They said so several times last night. That is how coach Carlysle plays them. Collectively, their numbers are great. And they haven't thrown the present away. Carter and West more than make up for Barea. This team is good and can win the title again this year. If it weren't for a lucky bounce, the Mavs would've won Game 1 in OKC. Mavs will win this series. Probably in 7 but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mavs win it in 5.

Learn the game, then post.

Three headed center last night: 10 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks

Rebounding is not hurt like the article said it would. The overall numbers are better than Chandler.

Checkmate.
