I can see Nebraska cause Eddie fancies himself a SUH like player, but Penn St. will be marred with this Sandusky nightmare for years to come and LSU also makes some sense but I've got to think that AA will have some play in this saga.......

Shouldn't AA be talking to him and Hutchings? Weren't they cozy with each other? But yeah, Vanderdoes could easily become the next Suh or JJ Watt. He's thinking for his future academically as well as to ascend to the next level

He has already visited several West coast schools, it sounds like he's taking some additional free trips to parts of the country his dad can't drive him to. Oregon may not land his commitment but I'm hearing we're still the leader...fret not this is just part of the process

Totally. He's getting a chance to see the country for free and see some amazing football games and atmospheres. I can't blame him for wanting to go through the process.

As you say, he might not end up a Duck, but I don't think the lack of an early commitment to Oregon is a bad sign (although it's a lack of a good sign ;) ). It is a bad sign for USC, though, because they only have 18 spots and they've already filled half of them. They might not want to hold several open for players like EV.

That is true, you have to put yourself in his shoes. I mean, he lives outside of Sacremento, which is like, the half-way point between USC and Oregon. Obviously, he would want to take unofficial visits there to save money, and use official visits to out of state spots(like LSU and Nebraska).

I hope that if this kid goes out of state, it would be to Nebraska. He would be the second coming of Suh there

5* Florida DB - Vernon Hargreaves III is reportedly visiting July 5th. I seem to remember another DB with a III in his name that was pretty good :)

Sure this would be an amazing grab but isn't it a forgone decision that this kid is going to where his dad is coaching in Florida?

Well hopefully we can get him.

Hutchings has us in his top 4, although chances are he'll be a Trojan

Didn't Ricky Seals Jones, the top WR in the country, say he'll give Oregon a look?

according to his Twitter- Kicker Matt Wogan from North Carolina has committed

K.... so what the breakdown on this kid? He's from my neck of the woods although I'm not familiar with this school......

Seems to have a pretty decent leg. He's pretty young in these highlights so I imagine he got a bit stronger

here is a tidbit on rivals about his Tennesse workout.

It's unclear if Tennessee will sign a kicker in the class of 2013, but if the Vols do elect to sign a specialist you can bet that North Carolina native Matt Wogan is at the top of the list after his most impressive showing at Tennessee's recent kicking camp. For more on Wogan, his play and his thoughts on the Vols, get inside Volquest.com.

Georgia Athlete Juwaan Williams has set an official visit over the Oct 7th weekend when the Ducks will be playing the Huskies. Oregon is recruiting him as a WR

Well that's nice...but getting him out of SCAR or Clemson's cluthces will be tough. And don't forget about G-Tech or Louisville too.

Still sound like Eddie will be a Duck, if we lose Hutchings to U$C than I think Redfield commits here..... Addition by subtraction in some sort of Duckish Way.... I think they suggested to Hutchings that he might be a rover here and I don't think he's down with that, however Redfield looks like a better fit for that position in my mind....

UW just got like 7 recruits.. main ones I cared about were Stringfellow and the dude who just decomitted from Texas

Congrats to U$C, money WELL SPENT!!! In the condemns 1st year of recruiting probation they've gotten the top DE, Safety, LB, QB, RB and OL players in the nation!

The NCAA or NO CLUE Athletic Association needs to put us on probation super fast!!!

USC has made a mockery out of this probation and the NCAA looks foolish yet again!!!

Hope the decision works out for Hutchings. I wish him no ill will accept one and maybe 2 times a year :)

USC better be spot on with their scouting, and how it translates to the next level, because if any recruits dont pan out, or injuries happen... then they will start being dangerously thin now that the scholarship limits will go into effect.

U$C has hit the ball out of the stadium again this year with recruiting..... It helps that the top 20 high schools in Cali have Lamo on their speed dial as a feeder program, but what this tells me more than anything is Oregon needs to develop some decent high school football players!

When I moved here from the south, the one thing that stood out to me was how small all the high school football teams looked.. Don't know if it's diet, training, money or what but Oregon needs to produce better football players.

Since 2009 their have been under 10 players recruited from this state to play football for the Ducks.... For locals that should be an embarrassing fact!

So right now USC has 11 commits correct? That means they're allowed 4 more this year?

Ducks pick up comittment from 6-5 290lb OG Alex Redmond He is a Big Ol Boy

reported offers from ASU, Boston College, Colorado, Colrado St, Nevada, SDSU, Washington, and WSU

Rumors are that USC is dangling baseball for Vanderdoes too, with Hutchings signing, thought is Redfield will follow and he will be part of a most lethal tandem with Cravens...

If USC grabs Redfield and Vanderdoes they'll have 11 of the top 100 players in the nation.... not bad huh?

Uncle Phil might want to invest into a kick ass bunch of recruiters.... between Lamo and Tosh.... Oregon is being given a recruiting clinic!

not sure I'd put UW in that category yet. How many of those 16 UW recruits have Oregon offers?*

*Hint: Not many

UW is not there yet, THAT's TRUE! But Tosh is an animal of a recruiter and it's a matter of when not if for the puppies... They landed what 7 in one day last week?

Everytime I read a recruiting site Oregon is almost nowhere to be found for any of the elite players.... Where the hell are our recruiters.....

We've come off 3 Pac-12 championships and three straight BCS bowls and a ROSE BOWL Victory, we have the fans, the unis, Nike, and the hottest cheerleaders, how hard can it be to land a couple of the best?

BTW- Do you think the NCAA meant for USC to get this kind of slam dunk recruiting class when they imposed these sanctions? HAHAHAHAHA!

One other thought..... How many of USC players decommit after we kick their asses on Nov.3rd?

Because people like Southern Cali more. Trust me I live there and to anyone living outside of it you wanna live there

I lived in Hermosa for 3 years so I know it has it draws but damn Watts isn't that great! HAHAHA!
