Cripes. Well at least we're solid at position for now(WR).

Getting Pagano would be absolutely stellar and what not. And how come Kelly doesn't target JC guys?

Brandon Williams, Kyle Long & Ryan Clanton are offensive JC guys who Kelly recruited and there are several examples on D too, but in general he's going after 4 year kids probably because it usually takes guys a year or two to get up to speed.

btw... apparently the Pagano ship has sailed

I know that. I just think that there could be more talent in JCs than HS because they had 2 more years to hone their skills.

Also, how the heck did Alabama offer to his guy. He's in friggin Hawaii. So, who is he leaning towards?

His dad, Darren Sr, played WR in the NFL for 7 years and has been a youth minister since. Jr committed to his "dream school" as soon as the Ducks offered.

This kid has good size for a WR and by his game film how he's only a three * is odd?!? Could be the sleeper of this class!

Like Mundt, DC Jr has been performing really well in the camps... Look for both to go gain a star in the next round of ratings (there are 2 rounds left)

We really have a ton of TE's now.... perhaps it's time to go after some defensive secondary and some Oline help......

I know that everyone loves the RB's, TE's, QB's and LB's but now is time for some trench monsters to be found!

also Carrington is a 5.7 rating already which 5.8 is where they make someone a 4* def love having talented kids here, but also talented ones who want nothing more than to be here. The only thing better than talent is motivated talent!

LB is a big need for me in this class IMO. Losing Alonso and only taking one last class in Bafaro could leave us thin there.

Hutchings, Redfield and Eddie would be an monster start to answering that thinning problem.....:ghoti:

I wouldnt hold my breath on Hutchings personally. He is set to announce on July 1 and hasnt even visited Oregon

Guess that means he's a trojan.... I was under the impression he and Coach Al were tight....hmm....

Well if U$C grabs Vanderdoes and Hutchings than I PRAY the NCAA puts us on recruiting probation too. It seems to do wonders for that private school in Watts! HAHAHAHA!

looks like its true. Chris Seisay is now listed as a Ducks commit! here is another one of those 6-2 DB's that have been wished for :)

Eddie Vanderdoes update:

When Vanderdoes called TSW to recap his recruitment here is what we came away with.

What are your current top schools? "Right now I know for sure three schools that will get an official visit from me; LSU, Nebraska, and Penn St., I am not sure who the other two schools will be," says Vanderdoes.

How do you feel about LSU wanting to substitute their players so much on the defensive line? "I like the idea of only playing 40 snaps a game, to help me play fresher longer, and hopefully have a longer career in the process," says Vanderdoes.

What is that you like about LSU? "I speak with coach (Frank) Wilson, coach (Les) Miles, and coach (Brick) Haley. I know the reputation LSU has of putting lineman into the league and being called D-Line U," says Vanderdoes. "Coach Haley has talked a lot about needing to find players who can play early, and has a good idea who he wants to be in his Super 6."

What is it you like about Penn St.? "Coach (Larry)Johnson and (Bill) O'Brian are two fine coaches, and I like how they have been communicating with me as well," says Vanderdoes. "They have a history of supplying first rounders to the league."

What is that you like about Nebraska? "Coach K (Rick) Kaczenski has been speaking with me a lot, and he has some good techniques that can be instrumental in making me a better player," says Vanderdoes.

Sounds like Vanderdoes wont be a Duck.... Oh well...

Penn State as an OV is just completely out of left field for Vanderdoes. Plus, he doesn't even list USC as an OV?

Penn State, though? I still can't get over that one. Why? That program is a dumpster fire right now.

re: Vanderdoes visits. Alot of West Coast kids will do their Unofficial Visits to USC and Oregon since they are easier to get to, and save the OV's for schools farther away.

That makes sense, but he sure seemed excited to go to the 'Bama/LSU game on 11/3. Would rather he was in LA to see Oregon whoop up on the Trojans. :)

Well still, if I was a big hulking monster of a D-line, and if I wanted to play at the next level, I would, unfortunately, play at either Nebraska, Wisconsin, or at LSU. Just a thought.

Top rated WR Ricky Seals Jones who had previously committed to Texas, has put Oregon in his top 4 schools

Woah woah woah Seriously? That's Awesome. Oregon Basketball ain't too shabby right?

And about the linebacker corps, we should try to find more available, I mean we could aim for Larenz Bryant, Mike Mitchell, Tim Kimbrough, Alex Anzalone, And Hutchings himself. And there's Peter Kalambayi, Jermaine Grace, and Walker Jones.

Although, we may very well lose Hutchings :/

I can see Nebraska cause Eddie fancies himself a SUH like player, but Penn St. will be marred with this Sandusky nightmare for years to come and LSU also makes some sense but I've got to think that AA will have some play in this saga.......

He has already visited several West coast schools, it sounds like he's taking some additional free trips to parts of the country his dad can't drive him to. Oregon may not land his commitment but I'm hearing we're still the leader...fret not this is just part of the process
